THE emergence and growing popularity graph of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has changed the traditional political culture of Lahore where the youth is seen at odds with their elders cutting across the family political alignments.Traditionally, the families in Lahore are clearly identified by their strong political alignments. If elders are attached with the PML-N, Jamaat-e-Islami or the PPP, the youth normally follow the political ideology of the family.The slogan of change and new Pakistan has impressed the youth to such an extent that they seem to have rebelled against the old political alignments of their elders. Despite all incentive based steps initiated by previous Shahbaz Sharif government like Laptop Scheme, Solar Panel and Internship Programme, the youth is still crazy about Imran. Unlike traditional political culture based on sect, clan and caste, the youth, cutting across all such barriers, is standing firm with Imran. With elections only five days away, the youth is seen carrying flags of the PTI on their motorbikes, and their faces painted with the PTI flags is seen moving all around Lahore. Almost in every second house, the youth whether male or female no matter to which political party their elders are supporting is seen actively canvassing for the PTI. The reporter has witnessed the PTI flags hoisting on the roof tops of families strongly aligned with the Jamaat-e-Islami, or the PPP. While a great majority of the PML-N families are also facing similar scenario where their youth is supporting the PTI. Majority of the traders in Lahore are supporting the PML-N, but it is quite interesting that their children studying in colleges and universities are arch supporters of the PTI and are seen trying to convince others on this issue. Many of the traders from Shah Alam Market, Urdu Bazaar, Azam Cloth Market and Hall Road admitted the fact before this correspondent that they were the staunch supporters of the PML-N since long but now this time around, their children, studying in colleges and universities, were supporting the PTI and even exchanged arguments with them to win their support for Imran as well.It is not easy to say that whether the PTI leadership will be able to translate this massive and unflinching support of youth into a victory in Lahore, and so far it is also becoming difficult to gauge their total strength in a particular constituency.The phenomenon of youth coupled with educated middle class which is supporting the PTI has made the upcoming polls in Lahore totally blind. In addition to youth, many of the PPP supporters in Lahore are now moving with the PTI flags claiming that they are supporting Imran since they believe that their vote to the PPP will go waste owing to its declining graph. They claim that they are supporting Imran, as he can dent the PML-N. The most interesting scenario emerged in Lahore in the shape of the PTI is that Imran is enjoying support, both from the liberal and religiously conservative families who believe that he would bring about a change in the political culture of Pakistan which is imbued with corruption and bad governance.

ان سب کا حل صرف يہي ہے کہ پاکستان ميں اسلام کا نظام عدل نافذ کيا جائے اور جو لوگ فروعي مسائل لوگوں ميں پيدا کرتے ہيں ان کا خاتمہ کيا جائے اصولي مسائل ميں پاکستان ميں بہت کم اختلافات ہيں ذيادہ تر فروعي معاملات ہيں جن ميں اختلافات ہيں اگر ہمارے لوگ قرآن کريم کا خود مطالعہ کريں اور سيرت نبوي اور احاديث نبوي صلي اللہ عليہ وسلم کو خود ہي پڑھنے کي کوشش کريں تو ہمارے بہت سے مسائل حل ہوسکتے ہيں فہم دين کي ہماري قوم کو بہت سخت ضرورت ہے
اس سے ہم پاکستان ميں موجود علمائے سوء کے چنگل سے آزاد ہو جائيں گے
