Hi,
What do you think the system of local bodies started by Sir Musharraf should be kept or discarded? This government has halted the local bodies elections and has given an indication that they do not want this grass-route level system, specially PMLN and punjab government. As this beautiful system was developed under Musharraf, so just to oppose Musharraf, PMLN and Punjab govt. is against it.

It should absolutely be restored immediately....It would have helped during the FLOODs....It is the only and best way to get the common man's concerns heard.....AND it is the system used in ALL the modern western democratic countries of the world....it has direct effect in ppls lives...and the ppl themselves...the common man should be made responsible for it.

YES Definitely. Had there been this system before the flood, The things could have been easily controlled as the Nazim of one halqa would never allow the other halqa's nazim to break the bunds. Moreover the flood victims could easily be catered for.

Ofcourse Yes! But don't expect it from feudal & industrial party like PPP & PML (A~Z) for restoring. Musharraf is not only the reason.
