Well, you don't need to go back too far in the past. Musharraf was being taken to bring back to Pakistan to face justice. During PTI tenure, the PTI government defended Musharraf and their AG asked the court to overturn a lower court ruling against hanging him 100 times.

That was a best opportunity to bring him from abroad, with his sickness if one has to, to hang him for abrogating the Constitution. But it was lost because of the own politicians bickering and their division. I blame politics and taking sides in opposing each other. We need to stop it.
