Reserations regarding Blasphemy Law

I think my prophet (pbuh) is above us all. So if some one tries to say something against him it will never have any effect. Still i am not going into if it should be a law or not. Right now what that bloody police guard did was against the law and against the oath he took for getting into police force( i dont know if the oath is taken on quran or what). He is a killer and murderer and he should be dealt with accordingly.
