Shahid Masood's 2nd Resign

Shahid Masood was appointed as the MD of PTV but after some days he has given resign from PTV as he was offered a special advisor to Puppet Prime Minister Gilani.

But the sources are saying that he again has given resign from this post.

I had an immense respect for Dr. Shahid Masood but everything has gone down the drain since he shook hands with the dictator. I couldn't believe when he did that. I am still not judging Dr. Shahid Masood. Who knows what is the inside story.

He has lost all his credibility and his career as a journalist has finished pretty much.

There was a time when i was looking for somebody to speak the truth .. the truth i wanted to speak , and then i first watched his programme .. loved him so much .. respected him from the bottom of my heart.. but then everybody has his price so did he .. why shouldnt we judge him for his acts .. i think we have every right because he let us down , i feel like he cheated us .. probably he was trying to go up with his price in the dictator's market.. money he could never make from his medical profession.. i have kept all this in my heart until i saw this forum here and decided to take it out , he is one of the biggest disappointments .. i still remember that episode in which he compared Shah of iran with musharaaf , he finally joined hands with musharraf ..and got paid decently .. musharraf who has been a pimp selling off nation's daughters and sons .. and shahid massood got his share of that money as well ..

i am hoping on the day of judgement i will be able to have my hand on his neck as well ..

I think we should try to find the main issue not just give some blame to him. As we dont have any evidence and nothing we dont know the real story

i am not blamming anybody for nothing , if u feel like looking for the proof .. u got every right .. and right to disagree ..

we dont have any proof for lots of things in this world , who killed JFK, who killed benazir , who was behind liaqat ali khan assasin, and its a long list ,

just think about the socrates , have u forgotton about Imam Hussain, they knew the fate but they stood by what was right, this needs spiritual strength, a better stronger self,

anyhow , i just said it because i felt like , u feel free to sit and wait for proofs..

No Basically Shahid Masood has given resign from two places so there is doubt what is story behind this first he has given resign from PTV then from advisor to PM, after the second resogn we can think that he has done something good but there is no fact no news for us. On the basis of which we might able to judge thats the real story behind if anyone hav any clue then share here

Dr shahid is the 2nd best personality after imran khan in the pakistan ,we people dont think but to give a blame to each others, he is been given PTV MD super post to bringout PTV from crises,he accepted offer because he wanted torun a clean Channel,But when he filed a alot of people cases incourt with proven guilty of millions of dollar curruption in PTV ,he is been pressurised ,so he didnot took cases back but try hard to expose currupt culprits but you know in our country poilition support culprits and now after a hardships even he said he didnot took himself paid becoz PTV is running on loss,and now he the great personality RESIGNED.
So dont blame it was just like that u give country to imran khan and if imran khan try to take currupt culprits out ,everybody will pressureize him to go and give resign and even those opposition parties sometimes make bad elegations to put the morale of top people down becoz they want out these clean people.
IF DR SHAHID MASOD JOINS IMRAN KHAN i would LOVE IT,it would be a best team ever in out history, i love these poeple plz somebodysay Sahid masod to comein politics in IMRAN KAHN party, I love himman.

Shahid is great personality when he explained everything in jawab deh how he swichted from ARY to GEO( ISI was involved in his forced expulsion from ARY and then GEO Owners call or took him themselves ,2: How he switched from GEO to PTV MD post, He was forced to leave GEO ,GEO knows and Join PTV and do the same who there as well,even he was not ready to go,:
How he left PTV after 5 months ,HE did clean / transparent Audit and he found 3 billion rupees were not in record he found big guns of the country involved on that when he went after that he was forced to leave that AUDIT report and dont expose those people and dont go to Police for those so after that he left PTV,
Now lets see what happens.

You know how you get the idea, just by looking at the person. Everytime I see Fazul ur Rehman, Zardari and Gilani..Nahosat, dishonesty and chalbazi unn key chehroon sey tapakti hai But when you look at Imran khan and Dr shahid masood, honesty, hubulwatni unn key chehroon sey tapakti hai. Mujhey pata hai yeh koi baat tu na hoi laikin mein yeh kehna chahta tha aur forums ka yehi tu faida hai :mrgreen:

Seen it , heard him , excuses and more excuses, all i wanna say is from the last few minutes of this talk , iftikhar was trying to tell him something about what "he" was for ppl and what "meant" to ppl , sadly he didnt get it ( or perhaps he was not willing to hear that ... tat was obvious from his gestures ) i clearly understood wat iftikhar was asking him about, since atleast once in my life i felt the same about him in the earlier days ( wish he could understand what he meant to some ppl out here ), i wont blame him ,, he made decisions and i am sure he thought a lot about it , he chose what he is now, it takes years and years to get the respect , just one moment to lose it,, i will never forgive this man no matter what was the reason, he may be helpless but there has to be a difference between a man and a great man ..

im not asking anybody to agree with me , ppl have every right to disagree, i did the same mistake yet another time , i made an idol - a god - and started to worship .. and im not an idol worshipper by nature .. it had to end up like this ..

Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has exempted Dr Shahid Mas

In an exceptional show of generosity, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has exempted Dr Shahid Masood, the outgoing Pakistan Television managing director, from over Rs5 million which he was supposed to pay to the government as per the contractual obligation as he resigned from the job.

Dr Masood joined PTV on a two-year contract with the government against a hefty salary of Rs 850,000 per month. Under the contract, if the government was to fire him on whatever grounds, it had to pay him salary for six months in advance, and in case of his resignation he was to provide the same amount to the government.

Though Dr Masood has been appointed as special assistant to the prime minister with the status of a state minister, he has been given the new job only after the acceptance of his resignation from the position of PTV managing director.

Some sources in the government said he was bound to pay the amount to the government, however, by using his discretionary powers, the prime minister had granted him a waiver in this regard.

Meanwhile, during a special meeting chaired by Information Minister Sherry Rehman at the PTV Headquarters, Deputy Managing Director Shahid Nadeem was reinstated to his position.

Mr Nadeem was at the centre of a controversy between Dr Masood and Ms Sherry Rehman, which lasted until the former resigned from his position.

To further cool down the situation, both Mr Nadeem and the PTV administration have also decided to take their petitions back which they had filed against each other in the court.

With the resignation of Dr Masood, the whole issue has been resolved, therefore, there was no need for any further legal proceedings, a source told.

During the meeting, Ms Rehman also directed Mr Nadeem, who would also work as acting PTV MD, to arrange a comprehensive briefing for her on the financial and administrative affairs of the state-run television channel.

Dr Masood, during a recently held meeting of the sub-committee of Senate Standing Committee on Information had raised the issue of financial irregularities of the past at the PTV headquarters which he wanted to interrogate.
