Should we be proud of our Army or face the reality??

A humble request:- We are all capable of having good positive discussions without abuse, because of the greedy and self-serving role of the Army in Pakistan politics, emotions are high, but abusing the Army or any Army-paid member of this forum, would not help in having sensible, mature discussion.

My own grandfather was in the Army (retired as havaldar) and was part of "Martial races" (a title given to Pathans, Sikhs, and Pothar Punjabis), a title given by British because they were very good at serving the British at the cost of keeping own people slave. So, in short, "Martial races for British is dumb for natives). This fact was the result of the biggest massacre of minorities by the majority in 1947.

So I am not proud of it. To be honest, to serve in the military, you don't have to be the brightest bulb, rather, the lower your IQ, the better you are to serve in the Army. Most of the time they don't have to use their brain, just follow the order, Right or wrong. Anybody who wants to achieve something, wouldn't go in Army. This fact is quite clear in all the Army Generals' decision-making.

But current lot of Generals have special low-level IQs. It's obvious from their recently released songs ,

I think it's time, rather than praising "Army Jawans", that we accept that it's not a noble or high IQ level job, rather its a "necessary evil" , which most of the time, from our history, has been harmful rather than any benefit and treat them as they our social life.

اس لیے مجھے اس پر فخر نہیں ہے۔ سچ پوچھیں تو فوج میں خدمات انجام دینے کے لیے ضروری نہیں کہ آپ سب سے زیادہ روشن بلب ہوں، بلکہ آپ کا آئی کیو جتنا کم ہوگا، آپ فوج میں خدمات انجام دینے کے لیے اتنا ہی بہتر ہوں گے۔ زیادہ تر وقت انہیں اپنے دماغ کو استعمال کرنے کی ضرورت نہیں ہے، صرف حکم پر عمل کریں، صحیح یا غلط. جو کچھ حاصل کرنا چاہتا ہے وہ فوج میں نہیں جائے گا۔ یہ حقیقت تمام فوجی جرنیلوں کی فیصلہ سازی میں بالکل واضح ہے۔

لیکن موجودہ بہت سے جرنیلوں کے پاس خاص نچلے درجے کے آئی کیو ہیں۔ یہ ان کے حال ہی میں ریلیز ہونے والے گانوں سے ظاہر ہے ،

میرے خیال میں اب وقت آگیا ہے کہ "آرمی جوانوں" کی تعریف کرنے کے بجائے ہم یہ تسلیم کریں کہ یہ کوئی اعلیٰ یا اعلیٰ IQ لیول کا کام نہیں ہے، بلکہ یہ ایک "ضروری برائی" ہے، جو ہماری تاریخ میں زیادہ تر وقت کے بجائے نقصان دہ رہی ہے۔ کوئی فائدہ اور ان کے ساتھ ہماری سماجی زندگی کی طرح سلوک کریں۔

There is this perception that army generals are at fault, not the loser rank, but my opinion is that, it's not a professional that requires high IQ ، socially we should not consider it any better than a watchman regardless if it's "Jawan" or general

Bhai these low IQ matric pass generals have destroyed the country for decades. They have been brutally exposed. At the moment their public support is at historical low and any army with no public support is dangerous. They have hijacked all state institutions and have ruined the economy and all institutes. No wonder millions have left the country.

Well you're perception is wrong. I blame everybody, if you are not the one committing the crime, you sure are just standing by and letting it happen and being first and foremost a soldier and take the oath to protect this country you not doing anything are just as implicit in the crime than the actual perpetrator. For example like in Texas has the law of parties. Even if you are just a getaway driver, your friend goes into the store, robs and murders someone, you are also charged with first degree murder and can end up receiving the death penalty, even if all you did was wait in the car outside and you had no clue your friend was going to end up murdering someone.

AT THE VERY LEAST. Even if you are a meek timid low level soldier what you can do is voluntarily retire from the army or if that is being blocked go AWOL. But no for all the dreams of plots and lavish lifestyle on the nations dime keeps their conscious at bay.

Today not a single decent mohib e watan is serving in the Army, all are to blame one way or the other.

Agar balti mein ek peshab ka ek qatra bhi chala jaata hai to sara paleet ho jata hai. So similarly its no way possible today you are serving in the Army and not aware of the situation, and you still continue to serve then you are just as complicit in the crime and treason against our country as Asim Muneer is.

If tomorrow 100s of 1000s soldiers resigned and did not show up for work, you think that will not have an impact?

While there is no need to glorify army, there is also no need to vilify everyone. People in Pakistan need jobs to feed their families and they find work in the Army like any other place. Now the problem is giving and obeying unlawful orders. This is where the problem lies as Army generals misuse the power and terrorize other already corrupt institutions into submission. Also most of this is done using the Intelligence agencies mainly the ISI. Army with its trained people, arms and ammunition and other assets are a property of Pakistan people which has to be reclaimed rather than burned to the ground. Let's face it today whatever is happening is being done by Asim Dalla and his cronies who he has placed in important positions in ISI and other areas. Do you think a hawaldar like your grandfather serving in a far off post has anything to do with it. Why would he resign from his nokri which he does to his best to feed his children? Why not people like you muster up some courage and openly come forward to protest and name and shame Asim Dalla? Why ?
