Similarities between Talibaan and MQM
Yes they are same in many aspects and probably in almost all aspects. The only difference is that one is Extremist (religious) and one is Racist.
This analysis is based on my personal interaction with various MQM supporters, workers and those who are victims of MQM atrocities/gundagardi/bhatta khori etc. (I am one of them), and from Taliban side I have interviewed with many Pushtoons.
Please also keep in mind that my maternal and paternal grandparents including my father came from Indian part of sub continent and of course they were Mohajirs but Alhamdulillah right now I no more consider myself as Mohajir as I am not Mohajir but my ancestors were Mohajir. I feel proud to be a Pakistani and calling myself Mohajir would of course make me away from my rights as being a Pakistani.
Taliban: As per my information they have made hostage to Pushtoons in NWFP and made them realize that If you support Taliban then everything will be ok and if you dont then there is no guarantee of law and order.
MQM: Exactly the same thing is happening in Karachi, even people who are against MQM still vote for MQM because they think that if MQM is not in power our city will have law and order problem and the same time of 1992 and 1986 will be repeated.
Taliban: They are attracting young generation through weapons, they are convincing young generation to buy or hold weapons to protect themselves from aggressors.
MQM: exact the same thing is being done by MQM in Karachi
Taliban: They are burned school in their areas and education system collapsed but when they were given power in Swat they let all the schools opened.
MQM: Exactly the same thing happens in Karachi if MQM is in Power colleges and universities are safe but if MQM is not in power there is no guarantee (Karachi ties has experienced the same in past, I myself was denied to attend the college by my parents as there was full time gundagardi of APMSO)
Taliban: They blindly follow their leaders and they do what they are told to and they defend their leaders by hook or crook.
MQM: They also blindly follow their leader Altaf Husein
Taliban: They kill their opponent considering them as kaafir or supporter of Kuffar even they are not afraid of killing their brothers if their brother is against them.
MQM: They also think their opponent as Gaddar and think that he deserve to be killed, they also killed thousands of their own community member because they were against MQM.
Taliban: They collect money from shop keepers and common people and tell them that they want Chanda/help to protect the area from Kuffars and if someone deny to pay, that person is considered as supporter of Kuffar.
MQM: Exactly the same thing is being done by MQM in Karachi, on the name of protecting people from other gunda elements they say that give us bhatta and if you dont then you are part of their opponent.
Taliban: To justify their existence they normally propagate that Taliban has done many GOODs. Like restoration of law and order and sentencing culprits involved in different crimes etc.
MQM: exactly the same thing is being done by MQM in Karachi, they say that we have constructed roads in Karachi and made flyovers so if we are in the area your area will be safe etc.
Taliban: They get involved in personal matters of the public and get the public's problem solved using their power.
MQM: exactly same thing is being done by MQM in Karachi
Taliban: They normally think that whatever they are doing is right and according to Islam
MQM: They also think that whatever they are doing is right and according to Islam
Taliban: Their leaders normally are not in the area, they just instruct their workers to do this and do that.
MQM: think about Altaf Husein he is doing the same thing.
Taliban: Their leaders leave in hideouts and they are always afraid of their opponents, they just depend on telephonic speeches, statements to the press etc..
MQM: Exactly same situation Is with Altaf Husein
Taliban: If you talk against Talibaan they will portray like you are talking against Islam and you are pro-kuffar.
MQM: If you talk against MQM they will portray like you are talking against Karachi ties and you are pro-establishement/army etc.
Taliban: They normally think that they have the right to control the resources of area because they are true Muslims and nobody loves Islam more than them.
MQM: They also feels that they have the right to use Karachi resources because they are the only lover of Karachi and nobody love this city more than them. (Therefore, they have right over your Zakat Fitra and Qurbani ki Khaal)
Taliban: If government try to stop them they kill army they kill FC , and operation against them is called aggression and Zulm.
MQM: exact the same thing
Taliban: They say that "accept us Wa are reality"
MQM: They say that "accept us we are reality"
There are many other similarities but uptil now these are enough. But one thing is clear that both are terrorists and both should be banned.
