I think most of these writers are now begining to say the truth as they believe it, not just for the money. Good sign of good hope.

Those who know technology should know Nasr is a giant leap forward for Pakistan. Miniaturisation of nukes is a killer blow for India and other enemies of Pakistan. Now Pakistan’s enemy should know not only that their big cities would be targeted by medium range missiles but also their army positions and specially any concentration of troops for attack on Pakistan, near the borders would be decimated in minutes.
India use to think, that a conventional war is possible under he nuclear overhang, but that philosophy and thinking is buried under the sand after the successful launch of Nasr.
Members here can vouch; my comments on launch of Nasr were made days before this article is published.
As General Hamid Gul has said many times, Pakistan should stand up with its full height, time is approaching when Pakistan should stop acting as sorry state and get the bull by the horn.
I know a lot more about Pakistan’s missile and other capabilities, but I can not discuss it until the public comments are made by the establishment or the technologies tested openly.
We just have to control the corruption, sort out our financial difficulties, sort out our budget deficit, concentrate on economic progress as priorities and we will be truly free.
Sorry to say to Zaid Hamid lovers on this forum, empty rhetoric what Zaid Hamid has, but I am educated with lot more knowledge and education than he can ever fathom. I know my material, I study a lot, and I research endlessly. Some people watch useless TV and movies, while I take enjoyment in furthering my knowledge. To say, I was disappointed is an under statement. I was shocked more than disappointed to realise how even some sane people can swayed away so easily by empty rhetoric from someone who is neither sufficiently educated nor trained on the topics he tries to cover. In the last few videos of Zaid Hamid he is shown sitting alone on a sofa, apparently addressing an audience of young people. There is no camera shot of his audience but a perception is created by him by using “mere bacho”. Was there anyone in the audience at all?
Economic change in Pakistan is not that difficult to achieve either. Change in the taxation system, with over haul of what taxes are levied and on what sections of the society, for example introduction of taxes on all kind of income, including and not limited to agriculture income, income from properties, income from investments, introduction of capital gains tax on transactions in shares, stocks, foreign exchange, etc. Taxes collection can be stream lined and make transparent, corruption in collection of tax eradicated to large extent if not completely wiped out. This all could be achieved within two years, if we select honest and patriotic people to the Parliaments, both central and provincial levels and re-introduction a democratic local government system, with key changes to the system introduced by Musharaf. I know for sure, educated and selfless, honest politicians from new breed of Pakistan can do it.
If these current corrupt of political cadre can bring 18th amendment whose major purposes were control of the leadership over the members, to bring the judiciary under the control of corrupt leadership as well, resulting in perpetual existence of “Dogar Courts” who are ready to render their services to the political elite with a drop of a hat. Freeing the corrupt leaders of the political parties from any oversight and accountability from justice system either.
Honest politicians can also bring a fairer and more balanced taxation system for the country based on consensus.
We do not need parties and leaders like MQM and ANP who are known enemies of the state of Pakistan. Or like PPP who wants to play the Sind card whenever it suited to them. They were amongst one of many reasons we lost our East Pakistan.
A change in people’s attitude in election, getting rid of old guards could transform Pakistan in five years. First two years for taxation reforms could generate enough taxes and wipe out our deficit for which we beg from the world and world Institutions.
Targeted industrial approach, establishment of few chosen industries for export purposes, on the basis and in conformity with the world standards. Industries such as “Diary products” including pasteurised milk, processed cheese etc. Meat processing industries, Fish and other sea food farms, processing and packaging industries.
Similar efforts should be made in other industries which already earn good foreign exchange, but changing the emphasis from raw material to finished and processed goods can increase the exports to many folds.
All this could be achieved within very short period of time; you just need honest and educated people in planning and execution of economic plans, people who are sincere with the country rather then with themselves and their parties. Who are not interested in looting the country but giving it something back.
Targeted industrial growth with immediate planning for “Thur coal” projects, gold mining projects in Baluchistan, more efforts on finding new gas reserves, especially under the sea bed would transform Pakistan with in few years. Once we start to show economic progress, perceptions about us in the world will change dramatically.
Fact of the matter is, despite so much fanfare, India’s per capita income is not much different from Pakistan. Despite 3 years of wholesale plunder by PPP the Permanent Plunder Party. Whatever, difference we see in the per capita income of Pakistan and India is due to the foreign exchange conversion. Successive governments in Pakistan have adopted a dangerous approach to devalue the currency rather than change their economic policies and approach. Result is Pakistan rupee is losing its value against the dollar and other currencies consistently over the years.
Secondly, because of the budgetary deficit, pushes the government to print more and more currency. This influx of newly printed money, on the one hand causes inflation, and on the other hand it also increases the internal public debt. To cover this deficit, loans are also obtained in foreign currency, mostly to pay for international commitments, primarily to pay interest on the old loans.
This dangerous economical approach has given rise to something sinister in last few years, started by Musharaf and continued by the PPP government, it is called circular debt. In plain words it refers to a situation when you are borrowing more and more money just to finance existing commitments, i.e. repayments of exiting loans.
Unfortunately, to some extant Mushraf government adopted this practice in our national institutions but PPP government has taken it to new heights. For example, PSO is working on circular debts cycles after cycles that’s why we see disruption in the supply line. Similarly the electric generations units also suffer from circular debt phenomena, they have to pay first to PSO and Gas supply companies of their older debts before they can produce the electricity. As a result we see disruption in the supply of Gas and Electricity.
PPP has destroyed the whole economic basis of Pakistan by relying on the concept and practice of circular debt for the budgets and also for national institutions, and no doubt on top of it wholesale corruption played a major part. Results are destruction of PIA, PSO, Electric generation companies, Southern and Northern Gas etc, increase in national debts, both internal and external. More and more money is printed and borrowed just to finance existing debts. These are non-productive activities; it is destroying the economic base of Pakistan. Almost whole of our budget is spent on either servicing the debt or for defence needs, which we can not avoid due to the conditions created on our borders for last 30 years.
Most shameful thing is PPP is completely and utterly bare when it comes to people with understanding of the Economy and how to remedy the situation which is now a grave danger for Pakistan. It fills my heart with anger and dismay, when I see people like Kaira and some other PPP spoke persons on TV using derogation, using very questionable face expressions and body language which demonstrate disdain for the opponents and Pakistani public and they portrays themselves as people in the know.
Most frustrating for me personally are our Political TV presenters who are completely and utterly useless and lack the knowledge and understanding of most of the topic they discuss in their programs. Research and presentations skills are zero, point scoring, and ridicule are the norms. Similarly, how many research article we see in the newspapers? Any researched documentary or program on Pakistani TV? Pakistan Television stations are plethora of verbal abuse and sound bites.
Back to the point I was making, the slight difference in per capita income of Pakistan and India is due to the difference in exchange rates. Pakistan exchange rate gradually declining over the years. When the total GDP is converted in dollars term, it shows slightly lower than India now. The gap is increasing ever so slightly in last few years. In rupees term per capita income of Pakistan is still far better than India.
We can double our per capita income compare to India within 5 to 10 years, I am convinced. It is not only achievable but with little bit more hard work and sincerity, it could even be surpassed.
I only want people to appreciate my original contribution on this forum. They may disagree with me on some issues because of their political affiliations but they can not dispute my valuable contributions or comments, which are made as a completely independent person. Please disagree on principle or material produced, but not on personal level. I have no personal issues with anyone, neither have I known anyone personally. I hope you guys get my drift, thanks.
Kuch na samjhey khuda kere koi. What do you want to say??your arguments are not complete and rational.
Pakistan GDP was always ahead of india since 1947( reason being small popuation, more resources and less provinces and diversity).
It allied with america and china,so it should have been developed by now!
But WOT and Support for america in afganistan was blunder for pakistan.
Well friend,One cant compare GDP of 2 nations in rupees! India rupee is 1.9 Pakistani rupee!!
i would not say that india is a right country to compare in economics and development. You should be comparing yourself with China,South korea!!

1- "Pakistan GDP had always been ahead of India." well, thats what I wrote, that slight difference now is due to Pakistan Rupees sliding down in dollar terms, due to the devaluations policies of successive governments. where I am wrong? The rupees conversion and comparison is valid, because years back, Pakistan's exchange rate to dollars was better or par with India.
2- Yes, Pakistan should have develop by now. Exactly the point of my post. If we have honest and credible people with education and experience in their field, Pakistan should develop very fast, it has potentials.
3- I have already said, over 30 years war had been imposed on us, considering we have been fighting over 30 years and still are not far behind India, is a major plus.
4- I have already explained above the difference in GDP in recent years due to devaluation. Your example or conclusion that Pakistan GDP should not be compared with India, because of 1.9 ratio is false indeed. Devalued currency itself is not the only cause or reason. If that had been the case, Japan would have been poor, having a very high currency conversion rate against dollar. But that is not the case. Compare to Japan, India had dirt poverty with over 500 millions living unforgiving conditions in India, according to UN.
My friend, it is not Pakistanis, but the Indians who always use derogatory language against Pakistan and Pakistanis. it is Indians who feel they are very rich and Pakistanis are very poor, when reality is different.
Bro, I think Mr. Qadir Hasan is very old and well known writer. He was always very patriot to PakI think most of these writers are now begining to say the truth as they believe it, not just for the money. Good sign of good hope.
MR.Baig,
In a nation where there are unpatriotic people like you, it is difficult to have a sense of pride and self respect for yourself and your country.
Why don't you go back to India and be proud of your roots? Shame on you to have a Pakistani flag with your nick, you don't deserve it, take it off and show your true flag.
"Unpatriotic","Anti-Islam","Kafir","Qadyani" etc etc have become quite old labels, search for any other new label now.Shame on you to enjoy day dreaming like Qadar,a fool of all time, leader of your company.
