Al-Malhama Al Kubra - The Great Battle before the End of the World !
Al Malhama is the great battle, it's not just one battle but it's a series of vicious and severe battles. it's a protracted war, a very long conflict lasting for years (for around 7 years).
This is a world wide battle between Muslims and Romans (Europeans, Russians and their expansion in North America, Australia). This would start with Muslims being very weak, and it will end up with Muslims ruling the world. And these are going to be the times of the greatest Fitnah, but also the times of the greatest blessings. That's when Al-Mahdi (AS) and Eisa (AS) are going to come and it is also the time when the Dajjal will appear.
It is not to say that Romans are going to be entirely enemies of Islam, because Islam is wining hearts all the time. And it is very interesting to see through the hadiths of Prophet Muhammad (SAWS), even though the
Romans are fighting against Muslims, They are still becoming Muslims Everyday.
Here are the some of the hadiths related to Al- Malhama, Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) said,
"You will make a firm truce with the al-Rum
until you and they wage a campaign against an
enemy that is attacking them. You will be
granted victory and great spoils. Then you will
alight in a plain surrounded by hills. There,
someone among the Christians shall say: 'The
Cross has overcome!' whereupon someone among
the Muslims shall say: 'Nay, Allah has overcome!'
and shall go and break the cross. The Christians
shall kill him, then the Muslims shall take up their
arms and the two sides shall fall upon each
other. Allah shall grant martyrdom to that group
of Muslims. After that the Christians shall say
to their leader: 'We shall relieve you of the
Arabs,' and they shall gather up for the great
battle (al-malhama). They shall come to you
under eighty flags, each flag gathering 12,000
troops."
(Abu Dawud, Ahmad, Ibn Majah, Ibn Hibban, and
al-Hakim)
In another hadith,
"When Jerusalem flourishes, yathrib will be in
ruins; when Yathrib is in ruins, the great battle
will occur; when the great battle occurs,
Constantinople will be conquered; and when
Constantinople is conquered, the Dajjal will
appear."
(Abu Dawood, At-Tirmizi)
Saheeh Muslim contains details of this battle.
Abu hurairah (RA) narrated that the Prophet
Muhammad (SAWS) said,
"The HOUR will not begin until Romans camp at
Al-A'maaq or Daabiq (a place near Aleppo in
Syria), and an Army composed of the best people
on earth during that time will go out from the
City (Damascus) to meet them. When they
arrange themselves in ranks, the Romans will
say, 'Do not stand between us and those were
taken captive (reverts) from us; let us fight
them. The Muslims will say, 'No by Allah, we will
never let you reach our brothers.'
They will then fight and one third (of Muslim
Army) will flee, whose repentance will never be
accepted by Allah; one third (of Muslim Army) will
be killed and they will be the best of martyrs
before Allah; And (the remaining) one third will
prevail and will never succumb to any Fitnah, and
they will conquer Constantinople......."
(Sahih Muslim)
With our fore fathers (Muslim), they witnessed
World War-1, but they were not the key players,
they were sitting on the side lines, watching the
events. Then World War - 2 happened and the
Muslim generation before us witnessed that, but
they were not directly influenced by it. However
now, we are entering into a stage where the
Muslims are the key players. Before they used to
be on the sidelines, now they're standing on the
front row.
The Muslims are getting into a very critical stage
in their history, a stage that would precede the
second Golden Age of Muslims. So make sure, you
are also playing a role to bring back the Golden
age of Islam !
