The Silent Majority is with Talibans, they are doing many things according to Islam. They have some problems too, but atleast they are living and dieing for Islam. Unlike the so called moderates etc, who are living and dieing just for material gains. When Afghan Jihad Started no Talibans existed. Poor people of islam gathered from all around the world and fought with the evil desires of USSR that time , no doubt CIA and USA was behind the scene too, and ISI etc, but at that time, the interest of Muslim Mujahideens and the interest of west were in line. Therefore, we wittnessed the demise of USSR, and this was the power of extra ordinary faith and determination of those great mujahideens. It would be a great lie to say that "due to the US weapons and dollars" they defeated USSR. it would not be right, because noone can fire a missile, to a gunship attacking helicopter, unless he or she does not have a heart like a lion. So anyways, when USSR left Afghanistan, noone wanted to give Afghanistan to the "right" parties, those who fought it out from the mouth of USSR. Gulbadeen Hekmatyar had the biggest mujahid force in Afghanistan, but the governments of the world never cared to give him the due share in power. World "purposefully" messed Afghanistan, so that mujahideen do not establish an islamic state in that country. Pakistan was "again" acting like the pimp of west, played a very bad role. Instead of having a true and fair government in Afghanistan, they allowed Sibghatullah Mujadidi's government in Afghanistan. This was the first drop of rain, and that created mess everywhere. Lateron they "fired" Mujadidi, and tried Masud, etc, but by neglacting the biggest party, they were basically asking for an extreem reaction. Which came out , and we witnessed the fights between the Northern Alliance, and Hizb e Islami of Hekmatyar. This was purely a "shia vs sunni" and "pakhtun vs tajek/uzbek" war.Iran and west was fighting a proxy war in Afghanistan. This paved the way for "students of Madarasah's" who were "children of war", to come out of their schools, and bring peace in Afghanistan. The Afghanistan, which was burning. The Afghanistan which has nothing but the dance of the death. That was the time, when Talibans emerged from no where, and performed some miraculous advances everywhere in Afghanistan. Each day people were seeing a province was falling down to them. But did they bring peace or did they not? The answer is yes. Afghans saw an era of (although very rigid) peace under them. They had their strict interpretations of laws, ofcourse many do not accept them as right, but still....they established a good governance. Mullah Omar requested people not to grow poppy and we saw that , and according to UNO, Afghanistan grew least amount of poppy under Talibans. Peace and no Poppy, and Islamic law. These were the three things, that made west angry against Talibans. Could west tolerate another Islamic government along the border of Iran and Pakistan? The drug market exist in many countries. West is no exception. So there surely are many interest groups in west, who could not allowed Talibans to stop their supply.So after 9/11 America went after Talibans, but they are still resisting, they re better organised now. they are fighting with better planning. Dont you think Afghanistan is a graveyard of many superpowers? So this is the background of how Talibans came into being. They are loved by people in their area. Again, they have their own issues, buty when we dont allow moderate forces to govern, people turn their faces towards extreems. anyways. Jaziya is islamic tax on non muslims for their security. but it can only be implemented in a pure islamic society, ALAS majority of muslims do not like islamic society anymore,they like "modern, moderate, hypocrite" world. Quran atleast do not see the world like a slave, Quran ask muslims to become commanders of their world, and not the slaves. Lets us leave our assistant mindedness, and start thinking from our own brains. Lets start allowing real people to govern us, and we will see the right results.
