What do the Taliban have to offer to Pakistan?

What are the social welfare, economic, financial, fiscal, foreign, defence, domestic and regional policies of Taliban? They never talk about these things but only of imposing Sharia Law without specifying its total impelemeantation.

So far, they are carrying their weapons openly; killing innocent Muslims men, women and children; spreading terrorism and violence and committing suicide bombing against innocent people; wearing dirty shalawars, kamaeezs, turbans and growing long beards and behaving like intimidating hordes thugs bullying people of Pakistan and defying law of the land.

That is the not the true message of Islam: using terrorism, violence, killing of the innocent and suicide bombing; destroying girls schools, stopping girls and women from educating themselves; denying women rights provided to them by Islam; whipping women for not wearing burqas and distorting Islam to achieve their political aims.

Islam adapts itself to changing time but the original spirit of Islamic injunctions remain unaffected. Islam preaches love, peace, harmony, equality, justice, righteousness, humility, intellectual development, creative thinking and not militancy as I have always said and will always say so. Prophet Mohammed (pubh) despite being persecuted abused and insulted never resorted to violence against his persecutors in Mecca and always said, I have been commanded only to perform dawah and permitted to do battle. He exhorted his followers to exercise patience against grievous injustice inflicted upon them. As we know that the Quran was revealed to Prophet (SAW) in instalments in twenty three years on different occasions and circumstances according to circumstances. Prophet Mohammed (SAW) used to tell the adherents to make your deen Islam easy to follow and practice and do no make it a burden to carry. It is the only way that the message of Islam can reach every corner of the globe and not by violence or through rigidity.

I agree with you. Its sad to see that they have reached to an extent where they can attack and kill civilians and then justify it. I think the reason is that their so called imams are self learned.

The reason that Taliban are running over Pakistan is because the country is ruled by a corrupt government headed by a corrupt leader [zardari] with a criminal past. He prefers to beg for dollars and make Pakistan a stooge state of the USA.

USA is also financing and supplying arms to Taliban via India and Afghanistan to create the same kind of chaos and anarchy leading to civil war in Pakistan as was created by Shia Mahdi Army and Shia death squads in Iraq. USA, Israel and India are involved in the most dangerous game to destroy Pakistan and both Asif Ali Zardari begging and Taliban terrorism is accelerating the process of disintegration.

Al-Qaeda, Mujahedeen and Taliban were financed, trained and supplied arms by the USA and Europe and used to defeat Soviet Union in Afghanistan in the 1990s. They are applying the same tactics in Pakistan: destroying it with the help of Taliban and corrupt leaders and politicians, as the Iraqi corrupt Shia politicians, conspirators and Kurds helped USA to illegally invade and occupy Iraq.

The last stage of conspiracy yet to be materialized would be the complete political and military take over of Pakistan by the USA: making it a bankrupt state because of the rising internal strife and chaos manipulated, engineered and planned in the corridors of CIA, Mossad and Raw. Pakistan's inability to defend itself against the rise of Taliban who are financed by its enemies would give USA and NATO an excuse to send its troops into Pakistan. And, they will annihilate Taliban after their mission is accomplished. The sound bites are already being heard from the US state department, White House and White Hall and that is a bad news for Pakistan. What would have the Taliban gained from all this fiasco, death and destruction: helping USA, Mossad and India destroy Pakistan and at the same time crush Islams rising crescent? The West, Israel and the Indians do not want to see a Muslim country to have nuclear capability and, therefore, want it disintegrated.

Mr. Jabral please study islam before commenting on Sunnah of Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) If someone keeps beard and keep his shalwar aur trouser above his ankles does not mean that he is a true muslim or has become taliban and others who are not following the sunnah they are kafir... Islam is a complete way of Life, Allah knows who will be successful in hereafter but whoever strive hard to follow Quran and Sunnah is of course appreciable as well as required in Islam. I have personally felt that people have made their own standards of following Islam... My brother true standard is Quran and Sunnah... If someone is following he is following for the sake of Allah as he wants to be acceptable in the front of Allah and he should continue to do more and more as well as he should be more responsible towards other duties like dealing with people, doing business etc. And if someone is not following properly he should be worried and should try to be a good muslim.

The problem is that everybody thinks that he is a good muslim and whatever he is doing is going to lead him to a successful hereafter. We should judge our deeds on the basis of Quran and Sunnah.

As far as Talibans are concerned of course no body is favoring them and to defeat Taliban we do not need Westernization but instead we need true and original Islam which is Quran and Sunnah.

What have the Taliban to offer as an alterantive? Unless , they show that that they have policies that would bring massive change to Pakistan's economic, social welfare, agricultural, educational, unemployment, internal security, external threats and judicial problems; they would not become a recognized force in the country.

Islamic Nizam is not only about giving harsh punishments to the criminals but is about adhering to the tenets of Islam: bringing total equality to every citizen of the Umma: providing jobs, bread, butter, clothes, housig, education, medical care, justice and fairnes to all living ints domain. There would not be discrimination betweem the people of different races, colours, tongues, regions and above all women will be awarded the same human rights as men and in no way will be considered as subserviant to man or a lesser entity, and respected in a Islamic society. But the Talibans are killing their own innocent Muslim brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers, little babies and young children and destroying people houses, girls schools and properties, which is a total negation of Islam.

Taliban shave men head for listening to music in Buner !!!!!!!

PESHAWAR: Taliban militants in Buner district shaved the heads and moustaches of four Pakistani men as punishment for listening to music, one of the men said Sunday.

Although Taliban and local officials said the fighters retreated from Buner by Saturday, local members of the movement remain. Residents said many fighters were still present in the hilly outskirts of the district.

In one incident late Saturday, Taliban hardliners shaved the heads and moustaches of four men for listening to music, a young man from Buner told AFP by telephone, requesting not to be identified.

I was with three other friends in my car, listening to music when armed Taliban stopped us and, after smashing cassettes and the cassette player, they shaved half our heads and moustaches, he said.

The Taliban also beat us and asked us not to listen to music ever again, said the terrified man.

Local police said they had no information about the incident.

The victim said neither he nor his friends lodged a complaint with police, as this would have been useless.

It might have annoyed the Taliban further and I fear for my life, the man said.

Residents in Mingora, the main town in Swat, said Taliban posters had been put up in streets and markets ordering women not to go shopping. The posters had appeared after the Talibans controversial agreement with the government to enforce Islamic law in the region.

We will take action against women who go out shopping in the markets and any shopkeeper seen dealing with women shoppers will be dealt with severely, read the poster from the Swat branch of Tehrik-i-Taliban.

The peace agreement does not mean that obscenity should be re-born, it added.

Extremist Taliban consider it obscene for women to leave their homes, and ban females from venturing out in public without an immediate male relative namely a father, brother, son or husband.

For years, Swat was a popular ski resort frequented by Westerners but the Pakistani government effectively lost control of the mountainous district after the violent Taliban campaign to enforce Sharia law.

I have been told that in majority of cases when these so called Talibans are caught and bodily searched; they are not even circumcised, that points to the fact that they are not Muslims but foreign agents sent into Pakistan by our enemies.

As long as Taliban denounce violence and acts of violence; stop killing innocent Pakistanis and disarm themselves; obey law of the land and do not distort Islam and Sharia; they can live in Pakistan in peace and harmony with the rest of the nation.

If they they want to bring change in Pakistan; they will have to spread message of Islam through peaceful means and not at the point of gun and blood-letting of the innocent Muslims and Pakistanis.
