In Islam, there is no such thing as blasphemy. It's a barbarous rule invented by our illiterate and ignorant mullahs to incite the mob to harm or kill someone simply because he or she has uttered something negative about the Prophet Mohammad.
What about all the other Prophets? In the Quran, it says that all the Prophets are equal, so if someone makes derogatory or insulting remarks about Jesus, Moses, etc. will you issue a religious edict (Fatwa) against that person as well under blasphemy laws?
The Quranic verse that emphasizes the equality of prophets is Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 136 (2:136), which states: "Say: 'We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us, and in what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the tribes of Jacob, and in what was given to Moses and Jesus, and in what the other prophets received from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are those who submit to Allah.'"
