You are giving a wrong example.Lohri is a cultural and religious celebration by Hindus and Sikhs.The farmers pray to Agni the fire god.All nations have shared science and technology and rightly so.I use mobile or other technology created by non-Muslims but I am not obliged to adopt their religious or cultural practices.

The farmers light fires and pray to the fire god Agni.I think they offer food to Surya the son god so it not a non-religious festival.
