Who will win Cities in the next GE

I feel that the next prime minister will come from a Big City this time.

Karachi will have a very very split vote this time around with ANP and PPP using military wings to enhance thier reputation while MQM is watching thier territory receding. Moreover, the middle class and the upper middle class is showing a tilt towards PTI, though they might not be able to muster a seat but can break votes. On the other hand, JUI will also participate and they can pull a upset or 2.

ANP and PPP are also using the caste card like MQM so they will win over pathan/baluch/sindhi speaking areas while MQM might have to concede a couple of seats this time as thier popularity graph has fallen in metropolitan areas of the city tough they still have a strong hold in the cente and north.

What is the position in Lahore, Pindi, Quetta and Peshawar?

Very nice analysis of Karachi situation. From Lahore to Peshawar along the GT road, PTI is going to be ahead of PMLN. PMLN is got better control in rural areas because of their old brathri ism methods.Q leage, Awami league, musharraf leage hum khial tou gaye jahanum main. ANP bhi bahut mushkal main hogi. KPK will be won by PTI inshAllah.

I think the majority of votes will again fall into MQM in karachi but their strength will decline. However, with new updated lists and removal of bogus votes, anything can happen. According to pundits, PTI and JUI will do seat adjustment in karachi, especially in Kharadar (NA 249 I think) and In Gulshan/Bahadarabad, where PTI would support JUI candidate. On the other hand, PTI will get JUI support in Keamari. On the other hand, ANP will try and protect thier only 2 seats but things look bleak. Shahi Sayed has ruined it for pathans here.

PPP will look to defend thier fort with the return of Bilawal Bhuto and use the state machinery to get 2-3 seats in karachi. Layari is a no brainer. Clfiton /Defence seat will see fiernce competetion between MQM/PPP/PTI.

Now everything will also dependwhat comes out in the supereme court suo moto about karachi. If they go public about the military wing of political parties, we may witness huge swing vote.

MQM will again play the same tune "humaray banday mar gaye aur hum ko hi ilzaam detay ho". I remember on 12th May, Wasim Akhtar (then interior minster sindh) was sitting on MA Jinnah road and people were getting killed on Shahrah-e-faisal (5 mins away). The host asked him who was doing all this, he said the Cheif Justice Iftikhar Choudary.

پی پی پی ، اور آے این پی اپنی اپنی جگہ پر مضبوط ہیں ، اسکی تفصیل یوں ہے کے ایے این پی کی دو صوبائی نشتیں ہیں اور یہ وہ نشستیں ہیں جو کے کتراچی مضافاتی علاقوں پر مشتمل ہیں پہلی سوحراب گوٹھ اور اسکا متصل علاقہ جہاں پر افغان مہاجر کیمپ قائم کیا گیا اور ان افغان لوگوں نے پاکستان کی شہریت لیلی اور یہ نشست ہمیشہ سے جماعت اسلامی، یا پاکستان مسلم لیگ نوں کی نشست رہی ہے سابقہ الیکشن میں جماعت اسلامی کے بائیکاٹ کی وجہ سے یہ میدان آے این پی کے لئے کھلا میدان ثابت ہوا اور وہ باسانی الیکشن جیت گئے . دوسری سائٹ اور بلدیہ کی نشست ہے یہ بھی کبھی بھی متحدہ نے نہیں جیتی یہاں سے ہمیشہ پی پی پی یا مسلم لیگ نوں منتخب ہوتی رہی ہیں اور اس بار بھی ان دونوں جماعتوں کا آپس میں مقابلہ رہے گا اور جماعت اسلامی کی بننیاد پر فیصلہ ہو گا کے وہ کس کی حمایت کرتی ہیں . پچھلے الیکشن میں اس حلقے سے اے این پی کے جیتنے کی وجہ پی پی پی کا اس کے ساتھ سیٹ ایڈجسٹمنٹ تھ اور مسلم لیگ نوں سندھ کی آپس میں رسسا کشی تھی اس سیٹ پر سب سے مضبوط امیدوار علیم عادل شیخ ہے جو کے ہمیشہ منتخب ہوتا رہا ہے لیکن وہ اس وقت مسلم لیگ قاف میں ہے جس کی وجہ سے مسلم لیگ کا ووٹ بنک تقسیم ہوا اور دوسری جانب پی پی اور اے این پی کے اتحاد سے یہ نشست مسلم لیگ کے ہاتھ سے نکل گی.

پی پی پی کی لیاری کی نشتیں پکی ہیں وہ ہمیشہ سے وہاں سے جیت رہی ہے اور اس بار بھی نتائج بدلنے کاکوئی امید نہیں ہے

عمران خان اور اسکی پارٹی اگر کراچی آنا چاہتی ہی تو سر آنکھوں پر لیکن زیادہ امیدوں کے ساتھ آنا بہت دھچکے کا سبب بن سکتا ہے. میدان سیاست اور دفتری سیاست میں بہت فرق ہے. .

In the current pakistani parliamentary system the president is symbolic and has no powers what so ever, This stooge Yousuf Raza gelani has supreme power under the constitution after the 18th amendament but he is not using it because he is a dummy and loyal donkey of Zardari.
