I absolutely agree ! Look at the body language of Haider Abbas. How imposing in his opinions, I must appreciate the calm n composure of Maalik though. In the end " Sweet-heart kuch aur lay k aao" huh ! bloody badmaash !
Having lived in Karachi, I have seen MQM operating at street level courtesy their sector offices almost everywhere(even in DHA). And I still remember how they used to impose/enforce their strike-calls by threatening n harassing small retailers etc even in DHA n eventually claiming the next day "Karachi ki awaaam ne hamara bhar-pur saath diyya".
But the dilemma is that despite eliminating rigging this time( if at all happens). I believe that they would still get some seats merely because URDU-SPEAKING settlers have no other alternative to support n defend them against the hostile forces of Sindh. Although I firmly believe that Jamat-e-Islami which mainly comprised of Urdu-speakings of Karachi historically would serve as an alternative along with PTI in pockets of Karachi.
No matter what happens, I wish n pray that peace returns to my beloved Karachi. And no one is seen going shop to shop distributing a whole bunch of "KKF ZAKAT 70 RUPEES" receipts worth 1500 rupees each bunch to everybody.
I wish the mayor of Karachi listens to the "Association of Merchants & Businesses" n install CCTV camera on each shop so that whenever such bhatta-khor come to shops, they r identified. And a new rule should be announced that who so ever is interested to donate ZAKAT, ANIMAL SKIN, or even FITRANA etc should be allowed to deposit them voluntarily on designated offices. And collection of such funds from shops n business should be banned.
I wish that every polling station in Karachi has atleast a few Army personnel to ensure fairness as only army cannot be bought or threatened by MQM, rest all can be either bought or harassed.
I wish what not ... list goes on.. n on
May Allah help us
