Of course he knows. He knows about all that goes on. This is just part of his personality. Make someone else the scapegoat for things that he has instituted himself and allowed to go on for over two decades now.

This is all a topi drama.

I don't agree that there will be bloodshed. The people he is going after are self-serving cowards who will take their money that they made (re. paisa bananay ki machine) and live a happy life (proabably overseas somewhere). There may be some who will resist but they will be eliminated as a signal to others. But I don't see bloodshed on a large scale.

Altaf will again try to come out looking good and strong in the eyes of his blind followers.

Maybe you are right but Mafia never have transitions pf power from old to new without a little resistance bloodshed and questions of loyalty

You are assuming AH has total loyalty and control from all sides and they will just obey........... but losing power influence and immunity are not so easy for those who have grown used to them

the next few days weeks and months will surely be the gauge

Finally there is the human natural factor for those who were on the ground in Karachi in the name of Altaf and MQM........ They will feel whilst he sat in luxury in London they funded him defended him followed him and kept his name alive for years and years and this is how they get repaid ?

You have to understand that its run like mafia and controlled like mafia but the support base is the common man. Even though its diminishing but it is still significant to cause headaches for any administration. Altaf Hussain is a manipulator. He will turn people against the leaders for performing the tasks that he himself may have assigned them.

Dude, I have been hearing this for the last 20 years or so. Nothing really changes - the problem is that AH/MQM serves the interests of a lot of people both nationally and internationally.

There are so many calls that went to UK complaining but no one put pressure on Pakistani government to act against AH. He was spewing venom against Pakistan and threatening citizens of Pakistan. Pakistani state should have moved swiftly against him but there was a deafening silence on part of the government of Pakistan. This inability or indifference or lack of will to take action is what gives strength to AH/MQM

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Wednesday announced the instigation of a ‘reformation’ process within the party ranks, DawnNews reported.
Speaking to members of the party’s Rabita (coordination) Committee via telephone from London, the MQM chief prohibited collecting any sort of donations from the general public. He said there is a ban imposed on funds collection, adding that the basic party membership of culpable worker/workers will be revoked upon any such complaints.
Hussain said the MQM follows “zero tolerance policy” when it comes to “China Cutting,” settlements and land-grabbing. “There is no room in MQM for people involved in these unlawful activities,” he added.
The MQM chief urged any party activist, involved in land and property grabbing or sale/purchase of houses, apartments or plots, to voluntarily resign from the party membership.
Otherwise, he added, upon receiving any such complaint, party membership of the guilty worker will be terminated.
On Tuesday night, Altaf Hussain had also disbanded his party’s Karachi Tanzeemi (organising) Committee citing ‘hooliganism’ during his speech on Sunday morning.

I agree with you. MQM has realized they cannot contain the well known fact what this party has done with Karachi. And PTI popularity in Karachi has forced them to consolidate their power. But this is mostly a political stunt to win back the hearts and minds of its followers who are now deserting them.

As far as I recall AH has NEVER done anything like what happened today in the history of MQM..........

SO my interpretation of events to come maybe way off be it is unchartered waters for us all. Normally AH is is unquestioned and unquestionable. I want to see and hear the reaction of those it affects the most..........
