Those who know Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan know very well that he never forgives and never forgets. The biggest agony of his political life was when MQM publicly on cameras ridiculed him as Mr. Bean. On social media it went viral and still he is referred to as Mr. Bean by the opponents like PTI, MQM, and even PPP. MQM’s Waseem Akhtar video clip branding Chaudhry Nisar is still one of the most watched one on youtube for Pakistani political satire.


Chaudhry Nisar never forgot that and he will never forgive that. He keeps low profile, doesn’t stay in touch with press that much and would just work quietly. Chaudhry Nisar has become an interior minister and that is not a good news for MQM and they perhaps have an idea about that. His one of the very first official statement which surfaced a little in the newspaper is that he extended full cooperation to UK for the law and order and asked the same in return.

Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Tuesday said that cooperation with the UK would be enhanced to address issues including terrorism, narcotics, money laundering, organized crime, immigration issues. A British delegation led by the British High Commissioner in Pakistan, Adam Thomson held a meeting with him.


We know that Pakistan has the killers of MQM leader Imran Farooq in their custody. British government also knows that because they tipped Pakistani officials about them. Those arrested MQM workers have also admitted to their crime and have exposed all the links and it has been determined that orders came directly from London, and were managed in the Karachi, Sri Lanka and South Africa. PPP government used those assassins to keep MQM behaving.


Chaudhry Nisar is not going to play that mouse and cat game. He will strike down on them with impunity. You should brace yourself for a proactive hue and cry from MQM in next few days. It seems that MQM days have been numbered in the Karachi with PTI gaining political space rapidly and Chaudhry Nisar as interior minister. MQM’s only slight hope is to bracket with PPP government in Sindh. But even PPP would be too happy to see them gone.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistab Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, while expressing serious concerns over statement of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain, has said that Pakistan should send a team of lawyers to Britain if the British government does not take any action.


Talking to newsmen here on Friday, Ch Nisar said it would be a big sin to keep silence over statement of Altaf Hussain. Other PML-N elected parliamentarians Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry and Shaikh Aftab Ahmad were also present on the occasion.

The senior PML-N leader expressed his surprise over silence of the caretaker government and some institutions over statement of Altaf Hussain. “Altaf has given such statements three times,” he said.

He said it was more worrying to note silence of the government, political parties and some institutions over the statement. “This is serious issue. It never happens in any country of the world that a person speaks about breaking his country into pieces while sitting in any other country,” Nisar said.

The former opposition leader in the National Assembly observed that the PML-N would face mountains of problems but a comprehensive agenda and sincerity was there to address all the issues.To a question, he said the government’s affairs would be run by a brief federal cabinet which would deliver results.

He told newsmen that the PML-N leadership believed in reconciliation but it would not be similar to the policy which Asif Ali Zardari had been following. “We will clear all signs of Zardari by September this year,” Nisar maintained.

He regretted that President Zardari was involved in making appointments of heads of important organisations through the caretaker set-up. “This is not mandate of the caretaker government and we will move the court against such actions,” the veteran PML-N leader said.
