Don't paint every mosque/imam with same brush. My mosque in London is totally purchased with Muslims donations and Imams are also paid by Muslims donations. The council offered to shift the mosque to some other place and they were offering some grant in support as well, but Muslims completely refused it.

I'm sure there are many more who have not taken a singly penny from UK government.

once it was business in UK to register a mosque and get benefits. annual grant and visas for two or three people from Pakistan.

Now its hard to reegister a mosque there. I knew to maintain a building and payment of utility bills and lot more other expenditures need money.
No doubt regular members paid chanda and there is mosque committee who controls the funding. I have been inside these things and you will be surprised how ulma has been struggling for the registeration of members by writing their ID numbers.
Anyhow I knew if your mosque do not accept this grant than its only mosque in the Europe otherwise people are struggling to increase the members of their mosque.

I DONT BELIEVE THIS AT ALL. At my work when ever it's Ramthan...my Manager and co-worker's are always making sure they don't eat infront of me and respect my month of Fasting. Whenever there is Eid ..everybody comes and congratulates me and my Manager always tells me to take a day off so I could enjoy the day with my family. All these people are Christians...if they are so kind to me even though they don't believe in Ramadhan and Eid and always there to accommodate me...then what is wrong if I am nice to them and Congradulate them on their Christmas. We are getting so Narrow minded in our religion that it's amazing.

Islam is beautiful with Allah the most merciful. But these Scholar's are making this Religion as if it's for Cave People. What a Shame.

You are completely misunderstanding the issue. No Christian in the right mind would do Ramadhan Fasting and No Muslim would ever believe that Hazrat Eisa is the Son of God. The Basic Principle of Islam would be lost if you believe Jesus is the Son of God.

So good luck with your Cave mentality and making Islam a very narrow minded religion. Islam is beyond this. We muslims are becoming Rigid in our actions.

Christmas is birthday of the christ as per christians. And they think of him as Gods son.
