Dead Hearts and Empty Dua's

It is reported that Ibrhm b. Adham (d162H) Allh have mercy on him once passed through the market of Basrah. People gathered around him and asked: O Ab Ishq, Allh the Exalted says in his Book. Call on me, I will answer your prayers, but we have been calling on Him for a long time and He does not answer our prayers. [Ibrhm] replied, O people of Basrah, your hearts have died in respect to ten things:

* First, you know Allh but you do not give Him His rights;

* Second, you have read Allhs Book but you do not act by it;

* Third, you claim to love Allhs Messenger Allhs peace and blessings be upon him, yet you abandon his Sunnah;

* Fourth, you claim to be enemies to Shaytn but you conform to [his ways];

* Fifth, you say you love Paradise yet you do not work for it;

* Sixth, you say you fear The Fire yet you put yourselves closer to it [by sinning];

* Seventh, you say death is true but you do not prepare for it;

* Eighth, you busy yourselves with the faults of others and disregard your own;

* Ninth, you consume the favors of your Lord but are not grateful for them; and

* Tenth, you bury your dead but take no lesson from them.

But still I am not disappointed. I do sins, I know my weaknesses, but whenever I ask Allah's help he always helps me. Allah is Rehman o Rahim, he listens and accepts each and every DUA. This is just a matter of time. Daus are accepted on their best times. We don't know the best time but we complain.
We must try to save ourselves from every evil act and sins and keep do Astaghfar and Tauba. Allah is always with us.

Oh Bhai Khuda ki Pannah, I admitted my sins and I do admit all the time BUT I apologize if I have misguided you. Just read my last sentence and then come back to me.

What I wrote, please read it once more.

Most of us don't attempt sins deliberately, but don't forget we all are humans and SATAN is always with us and sometimes we are trapped. Astaghfar is the best strategy in that case.
But, you are right, it doesn't allow us to keep repeating our sins and keep doing astaghfar. There is no confession box type of myth in Islam. I agree.

How it is possible that a human being never do any sinthis is the reason that, when we ask forgiveness from God, we should say forgive us for the sin we did intentionally or unintentionally.shirk and biddat are two big sin, which some time we do because of the lack of knowledge about Islam.

Even Alim or scholor of islam or Molvi can never claim that they are 100 % pure and never did any sin or they will never do

This is the reason we should always ask help from Allah to protect us from evil, and Satan... on the top of that keep doing "ASTAGHFAR"

Brother very nice post. I think I_hate_Liars did not read the sentence in red very carefully. You have suumed it up very well in one sentence. I would like to add one thing here, acceptance of duas depend on your relations with Allah (S.W.T), it depends on how much time and efforts you are devoting to build that relationship, and how sincere you are in you efforts, or are you doing it just to show off.
