There are so many related verses n Hadiths but some important are for your kind attention! Please read them in your mother tongue, for more understanding.
Q.What is a "Biddat"?
The word "Biddah" literally means "An Innovation, something new". Normally in Science we welcome helpful new innovations. However when we talk about “Deen e Islam” since the religion of Islam is totally there is no scope for anything new coming into Islam. Allah (swt) says in the Qur'an in
The first definition is taken from the Verse
[Al-Shooraa 42:21]
“Or have they partners with Allah (false gods) who have instituted for them a religion which Allah has not ordained?”
The second definition is taken from the hadeeth of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said:
“I urge you to adhere to my way (Sunnah) and the way of the rightly-guided successors (al-khulafa’ al-raashidoon) who come after me. Hold fast to it and bite onto it with your eyeteeth [i.e., cling firmly to it], and beware of newly-invented matters.”
Islam has been completed and perfected by Allah in the lifetime of the Prophet of Islam Muhammed (SAWW). That is the reason that in Islam innovating and introducing something new (a Biddat) is a sinful act.
