This is really disgusting that Pakistani media with few exceptions is marred with corrupt practices and criticized by many for applying fraudulent practices to pursue their business interests and also to blackmail others.
Nowadays one of Pakistans largest bank and countrys richest person are publishing a Notice for General Public regarding a malicious campaign run against them by a media house. The notice accuses the ARY Group which also owns ARY News and other channels for defaming the bank and Mr Mansha to get off the hook from a US$ 51 million default which the groups owes to the MCB Bank.
One cannot doubt on the charges leveled in the notice as this is published in almost all the national dailies of the country and that is too on the front pages.
The role of judiciary and media regulatory authority is pathetic when it comes to unnecessarily prolonged litigation and the implementation of laws. All this is happening here because the governance of PML-N is lethargic. Untill and unless the party in power wakes up from the deep slumber and Information Minister focuses on the administration of his ministry rather than getting involved in dirty politics with the PTI.
The media house in question should come up with clarification with respect to the notice charging it with serious ethical crimes. This is going to degrade the image of Pakistani media among the masses which is not very positive right now.
