Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 5.227 Narrated by Abbas bin Malik

.............Then I was made to ascend to Sidrat-ul-Muntaha (i.e. the Lote Tree of the utmost boundary) Behold! Its fruits were like the jars of Hajr (i.e. a place near Medina) and its leaves were as big as the ears of elephants. Gabriel said, 'This is the Lote Tree of the utmost boundary.' Behold! There ran four rivers; two were hidden and two were visible. I asked, 'What are these two kinds of rivers, O Gabriel?' He replied, 'As for the hidden rivers, they are two rivers in Paradise and the visible rivers are the Nile and the Euphrates.'.................

Just a Question those who believe in Sahih al Bhukhari , do they also believe the Nile and Euphrates are running from Sidhratul Muntaha ,the point of the Arsy of Allah from where no one can go further?

Terrorist also use Hadiths from such kind of Books to Kill innocent People thinking that everything in these books is true and the word of Prophet PBUH

رمضان میں انتہاے سحر کیا ہو ؟ قران نے بتا دیا ، جب سفید دھاگہ ، سیاہ دھاگے سے زیادہ نمایاں ہو جاے ، کسی صحابی نے یہ سمجھا ، دو دھاگوں کا ذکر ہے ، دیر تک سیاہ سفید دھاگے تکتے رہے ، یہاں تک کے وقت ہی نکل گیا ، بعد میں سمجھایا گیا ، رات کے وقت ، آسمان پر نمودار ہونے والی دور سفیدی کا ذکر ہے ، اس کا مطلب یہ ، نہیں کہ ، دو دھاگے ہاتھ میں رکھ کر انہیں دیکھتے رہیں ، ہزار سال قبل کے لوگ تھے ، نا سائنس نا کوئی تجربہ گاہ ، نا ہی میڈیا اور نا ہی کوئی سوشل میڈیا ، بس سنا اور اطاعت کی

بہت سے موضوع ، پراسرار بھی ہیں ، نامکمل بھی ہیں ، آپ خاموش رہ سکتے ہیں ، بلکہ محدود انکار بھی کر سکتے ہیں ، احادیث میں ملاوٹ کا امکان موجود ہے ، ضعیف ، غریب ، موضوع کی تقسیم بھی موجود ہے ، انسانی محنت ہے ، غلطی کا احتمال بلکل ہے ، لیکن جھگڑے اور فتنہ کا خیال بلکل غلط ہے

My question is what are Nile and Euphartes really are ?

Remember in ancient times the people did not know from where Nile and Euphartes are coming from and what is the source of these rivers.

Even if we accept that the rivers mentioned in hadith are different rivers then again there is problem if God given the names of two earthy rivers in Heaven then that makes the two earthly rivers Holy

There are other questions too like
Are length and breadth of those two rivers from Sidratul Muntaha are also the same as the rivers on Earth ?

Or the water is also same ?

Or the geography is also same ?

because only are similar rivers can be called with same names ... if people change the run of the rivers on Earth will God will also change the run of the Heavely rivers from Sidhratul Mutaha too?

Same is about the visible one it does not say either if they are the one on earth etc... it could also mean the two visible were visible to Prophet and Angels and hidden one not Wallahu Aalam

Dear Punjabi munda bro you are dealing with the incident of Miraj / Spiritual & physical ascension of Prophet PBUH, which is highly c0omplex and mystical affair that could not be decoded in absolute literal or metaphorical sense till this day.

You can consult exegetes, theologians, experts of Hadith material, spiritualists or even the doctors of jurisprudence in order to collect some vital fragments of this significant incident of the exalted Prophet PBUH but the whole picture of it could not be able to shape up that easily my friend.

Let me give you some clues about Trees and rivers and what symbolical significance they usually carry in mythologies of ancient civilizations in brief terms;

Tree: For some experts it carries different meanings for different constructs of religion, mysticism, legends and mythologies. The most common meaning of the symbol of tree is an ‘Occult / Hidden Knowledge’.

Its roots symbolize the need to derive nutrients of knowledge and understanding of religion by an adherent in order to start the process of illumination. The canopy of its branches and leaves alludes to the perfect attuning of Man with its immediate environment and age in order to stay relevant and vital. The main trunk symbolizes the urge of retaining inner strength and resolve on the face of any adversity from its environment in order to sustain and derive spiritual benefits.

Rivers contain water and in religious terms it speaks about a vital force of divinity to purify and cleanse the inherent and physical impurities of an individual for centuries. In this Hadith which you have quoted the possible meaning of the two hidden rivers of Lote Tree might signify the vital streams of heavens / divine revelation / illumination that could remove every tiny bit of uncertainty and doubt in the heart and mind of a believer.

The two obvious ones of Nile and Euphrates might allude to the streams of those lands where Prophet Moses and a line of Judaic apostles appeared for the Jewish community in the beginning to enlighten them so that they could carry the torch of guidance for the rest of humanity. Euphrates River belongs to the ancient lands of Mesopotamia where legendary arch Prophet Ibrahim was born, raised and carried many years of his prophetic mission before being exiled by its inhabitants. His (Prophet Ibrahim AS) monotheistic strain of message then recurred centuries later through the efforts of the adherents of last Prophet of mankind PBUH in that same land and hence will keep on its duty to purify the souls and quenching the thirst of divine knowledge of humanity till the world meet its final destination of violent revolution and destruction.

Will you also like to explain the Names of Prophets in this Hadith in Metaphorical terms too?

Nile and Eupharates are not running from a same point , there sources are different one in Tanzania and other in Turkey

The biggest Problem is Prophet(PBUH) himself explaining the event in this Hadith , even explains to people that the Fruits of that Lote tree are like the Jars of Hajr ?.... I think When Prophet (PBUH) himself explains something then there is no need for others to explain it .
