Authored by Jumma Khan Sufi , the book is a recollection of his memoirs of life mainly in Afghanistan 1973-1991 when he was living in a self exile there along with many Pashtoon and Baloch leaders of National Awami Party and other communist factions , leading an Afghanistan, India and Russia backed rebellion against Pakistan.
The book gives first hand account of some major events in our political history. The main topics which the book extensively covers are as following.
1. The nature of ZA Bhutto's politics and his rivalry with the opposition and National Awami Party ( the mother party of ANP and various other Communist-Nationalist Parties)
2. Afghanistan's attitude towards Pakistan and Pakistan's response.
3. The events in Afghanistan which lead to USSR invasion of Afghanistan.
4. Afghanistan's backing of militant groups to breakaway KPK and Baluchistan from Pakistan.
5. The rise and fall of Afghanistan's PDPA communist regime and their atrocities.
6. The rise of "Mujahideen" and the role of CIA and ISI in it.
Its only after reading this book that a person can clearly see how we arrived into the present condition and how should we approach it now.
