See the problem is we have been living with Hindus for so long that their culture has seeped into ours.
I agree with Orya Maqbool Jan. A hindu will not celebrate Eid.

I always knew that Basant is a Hindu Festival and always had a question mark on its celebration in Pakistan.
But I have NEVER heard that it is celebrated in the name of a person who was a Hindu blasphemer or Gustakh-e-Rasul. Blasphemy is an extremely sensitive issue. What if someone shoots our CM or Fayaaz Chohan because they are allowing a celebration in the name of a Hindu blasphemer then Orya Maqbool Jan will be in all sort of trouble.
Besides these facts, so many people lost their loved ones. Even life of one kid worth more than 1000s of festivals like Basant.
I always felt that it was a Hindu festival because all the colors used in Basant belong to Hindu extremists.
Keep this damn thing banned forever. Fuck Hindus and all their stupid festivals.
If we keep adopting Hindu's culture, one day two-nation theory will automatically become irrelevant. We must ditch all things that we have common with India.

Oriya Maqbool Anjaan is probably the most Jahil face on the media we have today. He says something stupid to start with and then contradicts himself in the same breath. Comparing selling kites with heroin and cocaine is probably the most idiotic arguments I have ever heard of.

Have some fucking culture, kids growing up nowadays have nothing to look forward to or play with, no memories, no entertainment. It brings revenue, business and attracts tourists from all over the world. These old age farts are bored of their own life and don't want young people and kids to enjoy themselves.

History of the subcontinent is mostly myths. Hindus and Muslims lived in completely harmony till bigots were not active on both sides. Creation of Pakistan can also be linked to birth of one the many Hindu gods as probably of vast number of Hindu gods were born every day. Basant can also be linked to the date of birth of one of our prophets's birth as we also had 1240000 prophets. Bigots will bigots and a purely fun festival which originated in fun loving Lahore is being tied with every sin conceivable. Lahore and not Delhi was centre of Punjabi culture. Why is basant not celebrated with fervor in Benares if it is a Hindu cultural event. Orya is a big bigot and will link the honking of a car horn with "murli' of a Hindu god and start calling it unIslamic.

No one has objection to the kite flying festival.The objection is for word basant or basanti. basanti colour and Zafrani (colour from saffron) colour are religious colours of Hindus. So just to avoid coincidence; please, give your own name to kite flying festival and enjoye it. No one will object.
