If you know, it was Hamid Gul who was in the forefronts for West's war against USSR in Afghanistan, later it was the same Hamid Gul who entrenched ISI fully in Pakistani politics and made NS, the NS which he is today, otherwise, the country had enough of oppressive Zia regime and wanted to go back to our liberal, modern and social welfare based government. It was General Hamid Gul, who made IJI, bought the politicians, created the rigging practices, declared Benazir a traitor and made sure that Zia's legacy as well as American plus Saudi interests are well served by Pakistan and its Army.

Now he is already dead, so his case is with God now. But I can safely say that all these generals are more patriotic, once they are out of Army, otherwise, they are all the same as long as they know that power is with them.

but all the afghans i met may alot more then u do respect Pakistan, i just met an afghan yesterday who was offered a place in taliban administration during Benazir government and how he run from Paskitan at night with help of indian and Rusia and landed in India.
