Such things are pretty serious because when you depend on someone you start listening to them more than you would listen to someone else. These are the kind of relationships that should have been ours but we are stuck in wars and regime changes ever since the 60's or perhaps from our inception.

You are 100% right. Afghanistan's example is in front of us. For the last 45 years we are suffering economically and from these never ending Afghan wars. We have gone out of the way to embrace them as our Muslim blood but they trust India more than us and support India on every international front, UN included. They always vote against us.
Because of the greed for money and power of our generals nobody trust us anymore. We have lost entire Middle East, Central Asia, South East Asia, whole of South Asia ASEAN & Japan included, Africa, all of South America, North America, Europe and now we are fast losing China even. Turkey is the only friend left for us. But for how long???
Our generals and thugs are left with only one job..... incarcerate dissenting voices of your own people, strip them naked and electrocute their privates and kill them with impunity.
