Overseas Pakistanis: How are you doing the qurbani this year?

Overseas Pakistanis had a tradition to do Qurbani in their dear homeland. At least 2-3 billion in remittances used to come as a result. However, I see a different trend this year
1. The prices of the animals have either remained the same or have become less (don't forget the 45% inflation we have)
2. My friends in Pakistan told me that animals are still in large numbers in the market. This means rich Pakistanis are also not buying
3. Most friends in North America are going for local qurbanis as the price is 300-400 for cow/goat.
4. Pakistanis in Middle East used to visit the country and do Qurbani but they are still pondering
5. Friends in Europe as also going for local options

These trends are very different and therefore thought to find out from other Overseas Pakistanis.

Also a message for our countrymen. Please do qurbani according to Islamic principles especially no cutting of animals in front of each other. It is so disturbing to even see mosques doing ijtami qurbani which is an insult to practice and shows the ignorance of animal rights and Islam.

I am not sending any money to Pakistan for Qurbani .I used to send enough money to my relatives to buy a nice bull.I am not doing the Qurbani this year simply because I don’t want to do it in Pakistan and couldn’t decide where to do it.

i paid 29 GBP for my share of qurbani in africa. There is no way i am paying 70000-80000 RS for a 15 kilo bakra in pakistan

There are many charities, such as Helping Hand and Mercy int'l ...you can donate over there. they will do qurbani on your behalf
