I would say.... if being a Corps Commander he could not see what is happening and what is coming then he is a BIG DUFFER and a duffer does not deserve to hold this top slot.

As much as I know of the working of army's higher echelon..... make no mistake, every single issue of national importance having repercussions to the security of the State is discussed in their monthly Corps Commanders meeting. Every Commander and Staff Officer is given a chance to give his input when the matter is tabled for discussion. Once everyone has spoken then the Chief Mir Jaffar (coas) announces his decision and that decision is final.... self proclaimed chain of command.
In this backdrop how can one even imagine that the incumbent Mir Jaffar was out of the picture to dislodge the elected government??
