Everyone works in their own interest but working together for common benefit has a lot of merit. That is why different blocks, trade agreements and unions exist. Having an OIC gives a natural platform which has potential to become a major alliance and help increase trade and develop political muscle. A leader who has goodwill in all Islamic countries can reinvigorate the block which would be beneficial for everybody. Yes OIC is weak but it is still better than no platform at all and trying to reenergise it with pragmatic expectations should be a no brainer.

Pie in the sky. How many so called Muslim countries have accepted Khan as ameer ul momineen?
Come on man. No one needs to accept anyone as amir ul momineen. Muslims around the world have a common religion and issues that are common. It is natural to have a platform and it has a lot of potential in extending its domain. Now this platform may be weak but that does not mean it is not useful. It should be made more effective but anything is better than nothing.

Thats why I have said stop calling Khan leader of the "ummat e muslimah" unless the so called ummat is only in Pakistan, Secondly what have been the achievements till date of this 50 year old organization OIC till date other than just issuing statements now and then?
I am not answerable to what OIC has achieved. There performance may have been dismal but it is a natural platform. It is same as having a hoover in the house but your do not use it and thus your house is dirty. Throwing the vacuum cleaner will not serve any purpose - Starting using the device will.

Than stop promoting it as a god given gift. And there is nothing natural about it, just another platform for some nations to flex. Saudis showed whose boss when Pakistan tried to call a OIC meeting on the Kashmir issue, immediately the Saudis responded, yallah habibi gives us back the 1 billion out of the 3 we have loaned you immediately and cut off deffered oil payments and if you still don't behave we'll get the other 2 billion too.
