What if you do not understand something or are unsure about?
This is a partial verse, Tell me how hard it is to understand.

"And We have revealed the Book to you which has a clear explanation of everything, and a guidance, mercy and good news for those who submit." (Qur'an 16:89)

There are verses very clear & straightforward, and just about every translator of the Quran will have the same meanings.
Who is Dhul Qatnanyn and who are Gog and Magog and what do we learn from these verses?

18:94

Sahih International
They said, "O Dhul-Qarnayn, indeed Gog and Magog are [great] corrupters in the land. So may we assign for you an expenditure that you might make between us and them a barrier?"
18:95

18:95

Sahih International
He said, "That in which my Lord has established me is better [than what you offer], but assist me with strength; I will make between you and them a dam.

Bring me sheets of iron" - until, when he had leveled [them] between the two mountain walls, he said, "Blow [with bellows]," until when he had made it [like] fire, he said, "Bring me, that I may pour over it molten copper."

So Gog and Magog were unable to pass over it, nor were they able [to effect] in it any penetration.

I will reply once I understand these verses. However, it seems like you are missing the point that there are simpler verses that are more important, such as "do not cheat, lie, deceive," "do justice," and "help the poor and needy." These straightforward verses are more relevant than the ones you mentioned earlier.

OK so why are these verses there in the Quran then - There is no point in reading them if these are superfluous ?

For not cheating, doing justice and helping needy sorry to say but you do not need Quran. Even atheists vouch for these basic morals.

The Quran serves as a reminder for those who have gone astray, although these qualities are inherent in human beings.

The lesson is to master the basics before interpreting verses.

And this is what you are saying. It is not mentioned in the Quran to master the 'basics' first. BY your own theory we should not believe anyone outside the Quran - You are breaking your own rule here.

It is important to master the basic verses before moving on to the advanced ones. This is a common-sense approach that can help you build a strong foundation.

That's great but then why does the Quran confuse us with so many 'extra' verses which either no one understands or has a different understanding to? You say read the Quran and everything is clear but everything is not clear. Since according to you we cannot use other sources of knowledge we are stuck. A large part of the book which you say is the only thing we need for guidance is not understandable.

No brother you cannot apply 'common sense' to the Quran. According to you everything is contained in the book and is in a logical order so we must read from beginning to the end and since each Ayat of Quran has hidayat we must be able to understand it.

The Quran is not confusing, it is just that you are finding it difficult to understand.

Not according to me, but the Quran is clear about it. I have posted several verses about it. If you do not wish to accept these verses, then I suggest you should find a good mullah who could teach you the basics.

What does Salat mean here:

[29:45] You shall recite what is revealed to you of the scripture, and observe the Contact Prayers (Salat), for the Contact Prayers prohibit evil and vice.

What is there that you do not understand?

“The words of your Lord are complete in its truth and justice. Nothing can change His words – He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. If you obeyed most of those on earth, they would lead you away from the path of Allah. They follow nothing but speculation – they are merely guessing.” (Qur’an 6:115-116)

“Shall I then seek a Judge other than Allah? When it is He Who has revealed to you the Book fully detailed?” (Qur'an 6:114)

"Say, ‘I do not say to you that I have treasures of Allah, nor do I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel. I only follow what is revealed to me.’ " (Qur’an 6:50)

"We have sent down to you a Book containing your message. Do you not understand?" (Qur'an 21:10)

"Should We treat the ones who have surrendered the same as those who are criminals? What is wrong with you, how do you judge? Or do you have another book which you study? In it you find whatever you wish to find?" (Qur’an 68:36-38)
