PTI started as a one man party and struggled for 22 years before it became a popular party.BJP in India had similar evolution.It won 2 seats in 1984 election.Nawaz dakoo never fought any elections.He took the easy option.He adopted Gen Zia as his spiritual father and became finance minister of Punjab through the back door.Once he edtablished himself he seized control of PML and made it a family party.The rest is history.
