Mailoo for quite some time now is giving positive statements in PTI's favor on this May 9 circus. If there are any saner elements in PTI who understand the dynamics of politics they should grab this Godsend opportunity and reach out to him and mend fences with ANP. If done, it will be a win win situation for both the parties.

You are correct, but the problem is that Punjab and KPK have very different political systems. In KP's case, most governments have been functioning fairly well; even the MMA and ANP have done an okay job. Amil Wali will never join the PTI because in KP the party has completely taken over the political landscape, but I think the reason he sometimes says things that are more rational is the fact that the people of KP are not total charlatans. In contrast, in Punjab, politics is primarily the business of charlatans. That is why you saw that only a few people deserted PTI , compared to droves in Punjab.

I agree with your fair assessment.
However, I'm of the opinion there is no harm in trying and reaching out to them like an elder (means largest political party). You are aware that politics is the art of the possible. And as Bernard Shaw said, the possibilities are numerous once we decide to act and not react. I feel there are number of outstanding politicians in ANP, one should open channel of communications with them on the same lines as PTI has done with JUI.
My 2 cents.
