Go look back before Imran Khan gained mass popularity after his Oct Lahore Jalsa of 2011 how many people use to watch news and talk shows? How many news channels were there? How many hotshot big name anchors who charge a fortune every month were there? How news channels became the most watched, more so than other entertainment channels, Pakistan only country in the world I think where more people were watching news channels than entertainment.
If someone has the statistics, it will show probably Imran Khan 75% if not more the subject of said news channels and talk shows.
Take out Imran Khan from the picture, do you see so many news channels? Do you see so many talk shows? Do you see the same amount of interest in politics from the general population?
Even today when Imran Khan is officially banned on electronic media, you can't say his name, you can't even show his picture, yet majority of the news is Imran Khan centric.
Mushy opened up TV and News licenses, out side of Geo and ARY how many channels do you remember from back then? How many talk shows? How many Anchors ?
No one is interested in what bongi Mian Saanp made today, or what new lies Garagan spewed out, or what bullshit Billo was crying about or what nonsense ISPR or whisky muneera shat out today. And what is ironic is these are the least media friendly or media-genic people. Mian Saanp cannot blurt out two words without a parchi, garagan can't say two sentences without lying through her teeth and contradicting herself so on and so forth
So yes Pakistan media has willfully Imranatized themselves, because he is the only hot item in the market today sells.
