Pakistan will not provide military bases to anyone: Army
KARACHI, Pakistan
Pakistan said on Tuesday that it will not provide military bases to “anyone,” rejecting reports that Islamabad has provided bases to its longtime ally, the US.
“Neither Pakistan has provided military bases to anyone, nor would it do," Pakistan Army’s spokesman Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry told a news conference in the northeastern garrison city of Rawalpindi.
He was responding to a question about whether Pakistan has given the US any military bases in southwestern Balochistan and northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces.
“As you yourself said, this is mere propaganda," Chaudhry replied to a journalist’s question.
Unverified claims have circulated on social media that Washington has asked Islamabad to set up two military bases to monitor Iran, Afghanistan, and China.

ISLAMABAD: In a startling revelation, the opposition leader in the National Assembly Omar Ayub Khan on Thursday said that the government has given two airbases to the US.
Speaking on a point of order in the National Assembly, Ayub demanded the government to clarify whether the airbases were given to the US by the incumbent government or the previous caretaker set up.
“This is quite worrisome and the government must brief the house as who took the decision to give airbases [to the US]”, he maintained.
There are reports that the incumbent government has handed over two airbases in Balochistan near the borders of Afghanistan and Iran to the United States.

p.s.:: Nobody knows the exact number of US overseas bases, lily pads etc. except Pentagon. In hard locations, overseas "bases" (which could be "enduring" or non-enduring") are not imperative now. There could be posture locations, such as "lily pads," "contingency locations," "signals intelligence platforms" (e.g., towers), etc. which are small-scale pre-positioning, convenient to obtain (private deals) and usually do not entail Congressional or legislative scrutiny. So - yes, people can certainly go around denying a "base"....
