He is absolutely 100% right, there is no requirement in Islam for a woman to dress like a shinobi ninja, it is strictly a middle eastern cultural thing. Quran has only one ayat in regards to dress code and in it, Its say for both men and women to dress modestly (not like arabs) and protect their private parts, the word hijab in the Quran doesn't even refer to dress code and niqab I believe is not even mentioned in the Quran.

Although even in the middle east now you will hardly find any woman in full ninja gear. When I was very young we would see older arab women wearing the yashmak

Some of them were very ornate too golden and shiny along with very colourful gold embroidered dresses on special occasions like weddings and eid

Now I can't remember the last time I saw a woman wear it. But the new trend is the drab black abaya which our stupid desi women are also adopting by the shitload. Which makes no sense considering how hot the middle east and Pakistan is.

The problem is that molvis have one extreme and the liberals are at the other end. We can't satisfy molvis neither the liberals. Why should perverts and freaks see my daughter in yoga pants and bikinis? They won't stop there and come up with new limits. Everyone has the right to wear whatever he/she wants but the dress should be modest according to Islam. Mrs IK has her own free will to dress as she likes.
