Although I want Khan to be released and his mandate being given to him for the sake of establishing stability in Pakistan, I suspect the Americans are not going to pressurise the establishment to release Khan. The Americans are known for having a consistent foreign policy which does not change with the elections of new leaders. Hopefully, I am proven wrong in my assessment, but I do not see Khan being released due to the pressure from a potential Trump administration. Another way seems much more likely.
Who iterated about Khan’s rethroning? At the least, the change in US regime post Nov 5 selection will pave way for offloading the baggage of khaki haramis which the demented regime had been carrying for the past 4 years. Since the shit hit the fan so hard on every global front, it is DC’s need now, and not want, to initiate damage control and that would be the expectation from the new regime, be it the orange man or coconut girl, and ending Khan’s incarceration will be a part of it.
We have now entered the phase of the eternal loop when prudent US deep state realigns the devastatingly tipped balance of global hegemony every after few years.

I agree but I don’t think it would be because of the American pressure.

Hopefully, you are right. To clarify, I didn’t insinuate that the Americans will give the power back to Khan. I just wished that he gets his mandate back.
Nonetheless, by the looks of it, they are trying to initiate conflict with Iran, Russia, and perhaps even China. They don’t seem to be interested in doing damage control, and do not feel comfortable with a multi-polar world. They wish to re-establish their hegemony through whatever means necessary. To this end, they may even risk civil war within the US to get them used to fighting, and eventually conscript them into the military.

Also, Pakistan may not be on the top of their lists as they are even poking nuclear powers like Russia. Like I said previously, hopefully, I am proven wrong about this, and this assessment remains speculative.

US unlike Pakistan’s establishment is not one man show. There are more than one equal and opposing factions at play simultaneously.
