When on 25th February, 25 1964 won his world Champion title defeating Sony Liston. no Muslim outside America knew Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. Two days later when Muhammad Ali annunced his conversion to Islam he became a hero in Muslim world known by every single Muslim in the World.
He got fame for his famous quote "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee". Most of his rivals could not last more then 7 or 8 rounds. He was famous for his speed and not giving any chance to his rivals.
In 1967 He refused to join Vietnam war and as a result, was sentanced to 5 years jail term. His stand made him Iconic Hero as a conscientious objector. Although he did not serve that term but he was deprived of his world title and was not allowed to take part in boxing until 1970. He lost his fiery speed and sting during these 4 years.
When He was allowed to get back to boxing he lost. Fighting Joe Frazier proved that he is no more a same boxer with speed and sting. Experts watching him fughting against Joe Frazier, realised that started predicting that he will not be able to regain his world title back. Muhammad Ali Knowing and realising his vulnerabilities he changed his strategy in ring and he started letting his opponents attack him in early rounds so that they get tired and then he waited for time to attack his rival. His this strategy paid him dividends. He challanged George Foreman in January 1974. Famously known as "Rumble in Gungle" in Zaire, Muhammad Ali defeated George Foreman.
Muhammad Ali and Imran Khans life have many similarities. Both are known for conscientious objector. Muhammad ali refused to bow down to demand which he thought inhuman. Imran Khan was deprived of his PM ship for fighting for his people and since his removal his resolve to stand for his Principles and fighting for the rights for his people he is behind bars for 1.5 years. Muhammad Ali got fame among Muslims after his converting to Islam and Imran Khan is famous among the entire Muslim Ummah for his stand against Israel and raising voice for Islam and our Prophet (PBUH)
Now time has come to regain his rightful job and it looks that he has taken a page from Muhammad Alis story that is to get opponent tired and punch him when time is right.
It looks time to hit the last but decisive punch has come.
