برطانیہ میں حسن نواز پر ٹیکس چوری ثابت، حسن نواز پر 5.2 ملین پاؤنڈز جرمانہ عائد کر دیا گیا

لندن: برطانوی حکومت نے اپنی تازہ فہرست میں میاں نواز شریف کے صاحبزادے حسن نواز شریف کو "ٹیکس ڈیفالٹر" قرار دے دیا ہے۔

برطانوی ٹیکس اتھارٹی (HMRC) نے حسن نواز پر 5.2 ملین پاؤنڈ کا جرمانہ عائد کیا ہے، جو 5 اپریل 2015 سے 6 اپریل 2016 کے درمیان 9.4 ملین پاؤنڈ ٹیکس ادا نہ کرنے کے الزام پر ہے۔

حسن نواز کے خلاف برطانوی حکومت کی جانب سے کی گئی کارروائی کی تفصیلات سرکاری ویب سائٹ پر جاری کی گئی ہیں۔

قانونی ماہرین کے مطابق، حالانکہ حسن نواز کچھ ماہ قبل دیوالیہ ہو چکے ہیں، لیکن برطانوی قوانین کے تحت ٹیکس چوری کا جرمانہ دیوالیہ ہونے کے باوجود معاف نہیں ہوتا۔ اس لیے، ان سے جرمانے کی وصولی کا امکان موجود ہے۔

بیرسٹر شہزاد اکبر نے اس معاملے پر تبصرہ کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ حسن نواز شریف، جو کبھی پاکستان میں قانون سے بالاتر سمجھے جاتے تھے، اب برطانوی حکومت کی جانب سے سرٹیفائیڈ "ٹیکس چور" قرار دیے جا چکے ہیں۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ یہ شریف خاندان اور موجودہ پاکستان کے لیے ایک بڑا اعزاز ہے۔

He doesn't understands in the UK HMRC has access to most of your activities, including where you live, which schools your children go, your bank accounts, your credit card bills, your utilities, etc. They can pull up whatever records they want; their powers are huge.
