Not entirely true Janab. He like all the rest of the politicians of subcontinent steered the narrative of Indian nationalism in the face of colonial imperialism, until the time when Muslim leadership realized that coinhabitaing with Hindu majority would prove to be detrimental for Muslim minority, and hence he propelled the idea of two nations in 1930s for the first time.

Iqbal's father and brother died as Ahmadis. Certainly many people at the time didn't know about Mirza Qadiani's death in toilet until much later when Maulvis found out about it
