مقبوضہ جموں و کشمیر کے سیاحتی مقام پہلگام میں نامعلوم افراد کی فائرنگ سے 28 سیاح ہلاک اور 11 زخمی ہوگئے۔

بھارتی میڈیا کے مطابق ہلاک ہونے والوں میں دو غیرملکی بھی شامل ہیں جن میں سے ایک کا تعلق اٹلی جبکہ ایک کا اسرائیل سے ہے جبکہ سیاحوں میں سے بیشتر کا تعلق بھارتی ریاست گجرات اور کرناٹکا سے ہے، زخمیوں کو مقامی اسپتال منتقل کر دیا گیا ہے۔

مقبوضہ کشمیر کے وزیراعلیٰ عمر عبداللّٰہ کا کہنا ہے کہ فائرنگ واقعہ پچھلے کئی سالوں میں شہریوں پر سب سے بڑا حملہ ہے۔

سابق وزیراعلیٰ محبوبہ مفتی نے سیاحوں پر حملے کی مذمت کی ہے۔

دوسری جانب بھارتی وزیراعظم مودی نے ذمہ داروں کو انصاف کے کٹہرے میں لانے کا کہا ہے۔

علم میں رہے کہ خبر ایجنسی نے اس سے قبل رپورٹ کیا تھا کہ بھارتی میڈیا نے صرف ایک سیاح کی ہلاکت اور 7 کے زخمی ہونے کا بتایا۔​

I don't know for sure if it is a retaliatory action by Pakistan agency. And if it is, I think it should be a concern since it will give India a propaganda tool to use against Pakistan. We all know that Indians are active in Pakistani part in Baluchistan and their sympathizers are everywhere, even on this web site. Killing of any innocent is not allowed in our religion. We should find out a way to target those who are behind insurgency in Pakistan and take them out. I will not agree with killing of innocents.

The question of each country reoccupying the part of Kashmir which they hold is out. There is no way either India or Pakistan can forcefully take Kashmir since both of them carry nuclear arsenal. Pakistan has developed the tactical small nuclear weapons which it will use in battle for sure. Modi can't afford to start such a war, especially when it wants to become a security council member and wants to have a relationship with rest of the western world.

As far as Kashmir is concerned, the voice to the local population must be heard. The decision to stay with Inda or Pakistan is up to the local population of Kashmir. And Modi and Hindus know that they will never agree to live with India when given a choice. And that is precisely why India doesn't want to hold the plebiscite according to 1948 resolution and thus Modi now trying to change the demographic of Kashmir by settling Hindus there and allowing them to acquire land and domiciles.

If India has such a norm for democracy, they should not have 500000 soldiers in Kashmir, forcefully occupying the locals and forcing them to stay with them.

Defending the country is on your own armed forces. You can never rest against your enemies. You always need to get ready for any situation. However, neither India nor Pakistan can force themselves into another's territories. The Kashmir issue will be resolved on table.
