مکہ مکرمہ میں رواں سال حج کے دوران شدید گرمی سے کم سے کم 577 حاجی جاں بحق ہو گئے۔

غیر ملکی خبر رساں ادارے کے مطابق گرمی سے جاں بحق حاجیوں میں سے 323 کا تعلق مصر ، 60 کا اردن اور 35 کا تیونس سے ہے ، جاں بحق ہونے والوں میں انڈونیشیا کے 144، ایران کے 11 اور سینیگال کے 3 حاجی بھی شامل ہیں۔

خبر ایجنسی کے مطابق پیر کے روز مکہ مکرمہ میں درجہ حرارت 51.8 ڈگری سینٹی گریڈ تک ریکارڈ ہوا تھا۔

یاد رہے کہ سعودی محکمہ موسمیات نے رواں برس حج سیزن کے دوران شدید گرمی پڑنے کی پیشگوئی کر رکھی تھی اور اسی مناسبت سے سعودی وزارت حج و عمرہ کی جانب سے عزام کرام کے لیے جگہ جگہ پانی کے فواروں اور ٹھنڈے پانی کا انتظام کیا گیا تھا۔
