Most of them including Nestle do business with extremely shady people including those in Africa who run their cocoa farms using child slaves. Human rights commission only acts if it involves religion, especially Islam.

Exactly. From drinking water to chocolate to baby food to God knows what, they have monopolies, never letting the local small businesses prosper. It's a status symbol, a trend. But worse part is how labourer friendly their production units actually are. Have seen people including mentally challenged special persons, heavily pregnant women, etc, working and sleeping under open sheds in rainy season/summer, away from civilization at these cocoa forms in rural Africa, which might have been located in Pakistan just as well, belonging to big businesses. Don't know how real Fair Trade is, though.

Fair trade is all fair as long as the beneficiary is the white man.
