Politics has a synonym in my country: nightmare. Pakistan is a land where majority of politicians are generally considered as devils; politics as nightmare. This truly is a general perception but even interesting fact is that our people are innocent enough to vote the very same politicians in every general elections, and that they hate non-democratic moves without knowing democracy and its basic theme. The concern is not to re-elect the same faces but to re-elect morally corrupt, disloyal-to-party and disloyal-to-nation politicians again, again and.. yet again.
We have a long list of politicians on board and its the general public wish crash it. The list includes some runaway lovers like Altaf Hussain, some dictators demanding to be "democratic" President like Pervez Musharref, some smash hitters like Zulfiqar Mirza, businessmen and industrialists like Nawaz Sharif and honorable Mr. 10% Asif Ali Zardari. As stated earlier, the list is long and I won't eat Blogspot's bytes to state more names.
The aforementioned list was altered 17 years back when a former cricket captain and world cup winner announced to initiate his political career. Imran Khan was the name and 1992's world cup was the fame he tried to put in the dirty business of politics as his investment. Khan started the show by establishing a charity based Shaukat Khanam Memorial Hospital followed by creating a new political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Surety can not be guaranteed regarding the desired profit however till today, the highest democratic label of Pakistani Constitution is something doubted by general public as the dreamed goal of former sportsman. Khan, accelerated by the enthusiastic youth of Pakistan, is being portrayed by the same in conjunction with local media as new horizon on the skies of Pakistani Politics. Considering no emotional attachment to the former team leader, this blog will try to analyze the charismatic character and some important facts attributed to the quoted man usually ignored or deliberately rejected without any considerable reasons by the man himself and by the youth cheering behind him, following the band wagon. This blog will discuss 11 main facts PTI fans will either disagree without any counter reason or they will ignore just to follow a celebrity they want to appear on screen of national politics.
1. Support to Musharref: Murdering Democracy?
Imran Khan supported Musharref's 1999 coup adventure to turn the democratic table upside down starting dictatorship era in state. Captain also supported Musharref's referendum to prolong his presidency in then future. Musharref is believed to be an egoist dictator who had thrown away an elected cabinet and imposed provisional government in the nation. It was first major action by Khan seen today as devastating to democracy. One can ask Khan's followers or PTI but the answer would either be an ignore or responsive abusing in return.
2. Injustice to Tyrian & Sita White:
No matter how personal they try to prove such incidents, fact is that President Bill Clinton was forced for impeachment and public apology to the American nation, and the then US Senate. Improper sexual relationships are never a personal issue at any stage such as Khan's. Imran Khan has never elected on any official rank in Pakistan. He has proved nothing practically other then a single Mianwali seat and a recent massive gathering of his followers with brilliant facilities like free transport to rally venue and free musical concert at prime location of Minar-e-Pakistan, Lahore. Even at this stage, Imran Khan is reluctant to speak about his previous mistakes publicly. Captain denied patronage to Tyrian Khan, that US Courts proved using the DNA tests. Any scandal exposed to media doesn't remain personal anymore. Instead of apologizing his fans, Imran quoted it as his personal matter. Furthermore, his daughter still needs him as a father, something he denies but already proven. Try to put this confusion before any PTI fan and you will either be abused or amused by the follower.
3. Support to TTP (Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan):
Imran Khan has a univocal point of view with Jamat-e-Islami regarding Talibans and other fighting rebellion of Pakistan. Both wants to bring the terrorist representatives on table talks. Nation-wide circumstances of Pakistan since 2001 includes some intricate incidents of terrorist attacks and plots that pronounced needs of security measurements more than ever before. The nation experienced infrastructural loss equivalent to huge capital of US$67 billion (as reported by IMF). The death toll exceeds 35,000 precious lives since 2001. Almost all of the incidents were somehow connected to TTP or other sideline terrorist organizations that do not believe at all in peace talks. The Captain however insists on negotiations with the terror. The readers must consider a few important facts here. Pakistan was going through worst situations about 3-4 years back when Pakistan Army decided to launch an aggressive operation against the wicked ones. The result is very obvious today and the criminal elements are pretty much under control. Khan demands one good thing from the government officials: Stop drone attacks on your own people. No doubt this is nothing else other then nation's call.
4. Alleged Connections with ISI:
Imran Khan is always blamed for being supported by ISI. I used to believe this statement partially but recently an article by Haroon Rashid passed under my sight who made me believe this story even more. Haroon Rasheed is Imran Khan's old friend and according to his article, he was the one who requested IK to jump in politics. He narrates the story with Gen (R) Hameed Gul's involvement in creation of PTI in his article extract of which is as under:
دوسرے تھک ہار گئے تھے توانہوں نے مجھے عمران خان کے پاس بھیجا کہ میں اسے سیاست میں حصہ لینے پر آمادہ کروں۔ کپتان کے گھرانے سے پچیس برس سے میرے خاندان کے مراسم چلے آتے تھے لیکن مجھے یقین نہ تھا کہ وہ میرا خیر مقدم کرے گا۔ ایک ہیرو، جسے روزانہ سینکڑوں لوگوں سے واسطہ پڑتا اور جو ایک داخلیت پسند آدمی تھا۔ ہر ایک کو گوارا کرنے مگر کسی کے ساتھ شاذ ہی کھلنے والا آدمی۔ اب تو اس کے تقریباً سبھی دوستوں سے میری بے تکلفی ہے ۔ 1996ئ کے موسمِ خزاں میں صورتِ حال یکسر مختلف تھی۔ اگر چہ میں پہلا آدمی تھا ، جس نے تیرہ سال پہلے 1983میں تحریری طور پر پیش گوئی کی تھی کہ ایک دن وہ سیاست میں حصہ لے گاکہ کاروبار اس کا مزاج نہیں اور توانائی کے اس طوفان کو ایک بڑا میدان درکار ہوگا۔ بے تکلفی کے بغیر لیکن مکالمہ کیسے ہو۔ جنرل حمید گل کو اللہ تعالیٰ صحت اور ایمان کے ساتھ تادیر سلامت رکھے، انہوں نے مجھ سے کہا: تمہاری دلیل مضبوط بہت ہے کہ ایک شخص اگردیانت اور سچائی پر قائم رہے تو سیاست اسے توقیر سے محروم نہیں کر سکتی۔ یہ بات تم خود اس سے کہوتو ممکن ہے کہ وہ قائل ہو جائے ۔
"When others were tired, they asked me to Imran Khan so that I may insist him to step into politics. I had over twenty five years relations with captain's family but I was not sure if he would welcome me. He was a hero who used to meet with hundreds of people and liked to be linked, not with everyone though. I used to be free with almost all of his friends, 1996 autumn was however different. Although I was the first one who predicted in written that Khan will one day jump into the politics as business is not his passion whereas the possession of tremendous energetics would need some great grounds to be exhaled. Problem was however to initiate the discussion in a free environment. General Hamid Gul (may Allah bless him with good health and firm belief) asked me: "You are man of strong reasoning; nobody can stop someone from gaining respect if he continues to proceed on the path of honesty and truth. Tell this to him and he might get convinced".

General Hameed Gul is still considered as man of very strong links in defense circles. Now try asking this to a PTI follower and you might receive an interesting response.
5. Opposition to MQM - Archaic Now:
There was a time when Imran Khan was banned from entering in Sind. It was Musharref's era with provincial government of MQM in Sind. It all started with Captain's call to file a petition against MQM top figure Altaf Hussain. The motto was not clear but if it was to gain popularity among masses, it was well received no doubt. It made Khan as make up figure of city walls by MQM hardline workers. Karachi witnessed wall chalking of worse ethical fashion like "Imran ***** (Imran dog)" and "Imran **** (Imran Adulterer)". The war of words also include some inclusion of Altaf's married life in captain's public word life. It all happened for a couple of months and then everything was over. Imran recently met with MQM leaders at their head quarters, Nine Zero. Khan was also greeted by the same (once a devil of PTI ideology), Altaf Hussain on his successful Lahore Rally. Question is, where did the opposition go? Is it like an Archaic among the vocabulary of PTI's line of action?
6. Contradicting Himself:
The Captain has been found contradicting his own statements on number of occasions, two of whom are worth sharing. PTI fans portray Khan as clean personality with nothing wrong or bad attributed. Khan had a clear stance over the so called Lotas (those who change their party loyalty): No place of already examined ones in PTI. News update delivered to my cell phone is that Mian Azher (Former president of PMLQ and political activist from PMLN very much active in Supreme Court attacks) has joined PTI. There are many other names to be included in the party pretty soon. Where did the fresh blood go? Is that what youth is asking for: Re-electing the old faces? Is that what Imran Khan promised for? Isn't it contradiction to his own previous statements?
Another contradiction is regarding Captain's visit to Nine Zero. The details can be seen in this video clip, I believe most of the PTI members and fans will try to prove edited. Decision left upon readers if it is edited.
7. Playboy for Islamic Republic:
"I have never claimed to be an angel,' he says, still behind his shades. 'I am a humble sinner. In my cricket career I would keep a log and write down the areas I had failed in so I could make them strengths. I have tried to do that in life, too."
Said Iman Khan, who tries to prove others guilty of many sins today. Khan counts any sexual interaction of his own among his personal deeds. Unfortunately, he forgets while doing so that he is citizen of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, not truly an Islamic state though but was created as one. TIm Adams, observer for The Guardian quotes about the captain and his politics:
"All this sounds a very long way from the Imran Khan of the Seventies and Eighties who spent his evenings in Annabel's and Tramp nightclubs in London's West End and his days in Nigel Dempster's gossip columns for bedding a series of debutantes - including the late Sita White (daughter of Lord White), Susannah Constantine (Viscount Linley's ex), Lady Liza Campbell and the artist Emma Sergeant. He had come to England from Aitchison College, a relic of the Raj, to study at Oxford, where he was captain of cricket, before playing for Worcestershire and Sussex. In those days he was very much the playboy prince. I wonder what he makes of that former self."

Imran is asking his proxy rival Nawaz Shareef, to ask for an open apology to the nation for all of his corruption. We ask Imran: Who will apologize for his own dirty deeds? An important question, that might drag you in trouble if its you versus PTI blind followers.
8. Artificial Rivalry - Lets Attract the Media:
Count me cynical, but the very reason of this artificial rivalry started by Imran Khan against Nawaz Shareef is not understandable in simple notion. According to the PTI members and Imran Khan himself, it is the corruption from PMLN as a main header for opposition to the party. Problem arises when PTI is unable to prove the corruption in the free and fair courts. PTI accepts independence of current judicial system, honorable Chief Justice of Pakistan and the honorable courts, yet reluctant to file the petition and follow it up on regular basis to prove what they claim. Nawaz Shareef is not Babar Awan whose punishment can be forgiven as a special provision provided to The President of Pakistan. He is no Rahman Malik to be given amnesty by Mr. Ten Percent. If its corruption alone, PTI should start shouting over other parties including ANP, MQM, PMLQ, APML etc. Many people will disagree with this but I believe Nawaz is not testified by the strongest media today. Most of the fan base youth of PTI just hates PMLN and Nawaz Shareef because Imran Khan says so. They can't even answer this simple logical question: Why did Musharref let Nawaz go if he had proofs for his corruption? We know the enmity between Nawaz and Musharref. If Musharref was not able to prove anything, what grounds does Imran has to claim one?
Imran on one side is initiating backdoor contacts with Pervez Musharref, PMLQ and MQM that are major stakeholders of corruption stories being unveiled by Supreme Court of Pakistan currently, whereas expanding their battle with PMLN on the other. This strategy convinces independent analysts even more about Khan's links to Pakistan Army backed agency ISI, who still considers Nawaz Shareef as a nightmare throwing their Chiefs in a simple democratic manner. At the same time, Nawaz is avoiding Imran Khan and PTI to portray himself with no fear from the captain. Elections, approaching in coming year will clarify everything for sure, but the question is, is it fair to target a single party whose corruption is yet to be proved and to ignore others who are beneficiaries of the most wicked conspiracies like NRO?
9. Let's accept Imran Khan: But wait... Where is The Team?
Supposition can be visualized to see Imran Khan as truly honest man and call of the day but, where is his team? Politics is not a one man show as confirmed by Nuke Scientist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan. Its a whole team that must come into action to save a match and analogous to that, there must be a dedicated group of politicians who should eradicate the problems in the system and make it workable. Imran Khan presented ticket to His Highness Mr. Ijaz Ahmed Jazi, the famous scoundrel of the area who presented a voluminous 143 Votes as compared to 76980 votes to PMLN's new face, Malik Shakil Awan (http://www2.ecp.gov.pk/vsite/ElectionResult/Search.aspx?constituency=NA&constituencyid=NA-55). While Imran was propagating the myth of youth attachment to PTI, it should be clarified that NA-55 is the posh area of Rawalpindi with majority of energetic youth as a part of voter base. Imran Khan still lacks the team. He can probably win all the seats of National Assembly of Pakistan, provided that he is the only candidate from PTI on each and every seat, but in case of people like Ijaz Ahmed Jazi, its a mere impossible to win any election. If Imran has to present Mian Azher or other Lotas, I question PTI members: Is this your Team?
10. Hide it - Win it: Who presented land for Shaukat Khanam?
I believe 70% of PTI followers have no idea about it. Imran Khan presents Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital as one of his prime success and service to the nation. Very few people know the fact that the land upon which Imran Khan is enjoying his fame today was given as charity by then Chief Minister of Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Shareef. Talk to the PTI follower and he will be like: "So What? Who cares"
11. Vote to PTI - Welcome to Zardari for Another 5 Years !
Sad but true. Its simple conclusion. Considering all over Pakistan, the two big rivals are PPP and PMLN. PTI is trying to detach votes from both sides. Reducing PMLN vote bank will ultimately facilitate PPP to come up, as PTI can not in any case steal out all the vote bank, or even major part of it. Accept it or not, the truth is as stated. PPP will not get rid of their vote bank as they grab it on Bhutto's name. The post election scenario may invite Army to take over if no party gets considerable majority. Voting PTI will result in wellcoming Mr 10% for Another 5 year.

جب مشرف نے اقتدار حاصل کیا، تو نواز شریف کی جمہوری آمریت کی ماری قوم نے سکون کا سانس لیا تھا، صرف دو پارٹیوں نواز لیگ اور اے این پی کے سوا باقی سب سیاسی جماعتوں نے مشرف کو ویلکم کہا اور اپنی حمایت کا یقین دلایا تھا۔ ان دنوں مشرف صاف ستھری سیاست کی بات کرتا تھا اور غالباً پانچ نکاتی پروگرام کا اعلان کیا تھا۔اس پروگرام کی اہمیت سے کسی کو انکار نہیں تھا۔لیکن جوں ہی مشرف اپنے وعدوں سے پھر گئے تو سب سے پہلے عمران ان سے علحدہ ہوگئے۔اور ججز کے معاملے کھل کر مشرف کی مخالفت کی ۔اسی طرح وہ نائن الیون اور لال مسجد کے معاملے پر بھی مشرف کے بد ترین مخالف بن گئے تھے۔

عمران نے کبھی اس طرح لے الزامات سے انکار نہیں کیا ، وہ خود کہتا ہے کہ اس وقت میں ایک نو عمر لڑکا تھا۔ اور یہ لڑکیاں میرے کمرے تک آجاتی تھیں۔
جب عمران ذہنی طور پر میچور ہوا تو وہ اس طرح سے سلسلوں سے دور ہو گیا ، لیکن ہمارے دیگر لیڈران کرام بوڑھے ہونے کے باوجود مختلف سکینڈلز میں ملوث ہیں۔ جب نواز شریف وزیر آعظم تھے تو کیا اس کے انڈین اداکار قادر خان کی بہن (دلشاد بیگم یا ارشاد بیگم) سے بہت گہرے تعلقات نہیں تھے ۔نعیم بخاری نے اپنی بیوی طاہرہ سید کو کیوں طلاق دی؟ طالبان ریشفل کی امریکی مصنفہ کم بارکر نے جو کچھ نواز شریف کے بارے میں کہا کیا وہ قوم کا سر شرم سے جھکانے کے لیے کافی نہیں؟
عمران تو اپنی ان حرکتون پر معافی مانگ چکا ہے اور اب ان کاموں سے تائب ہو چکا ہے کیا نواز شریف نے اپنی ان حرکتوں پر معافی مانگی، یا ان حرکتوں سے باز آچکا ہے۔
آپ نے بل کلنٹن کی مثال دی تو میں یاد دلا دوں کہ بل کلنٹن کا مواخذہ اس وجہ سے نہیں ہوا کہ اس کے مونیکا سے ناجائز تعلقات تھے ، بلکہ مواخذہ اس لیے ہوا کہ اس نے مونیکا کے معاملے پر قوم سے جھوٹ بولا تھا۔کیوں کہ وہاں جھوٹ بولنا سب سے بڑا جرم ہے۔ جب کہ ہمارے قومی رہنما عادتاً جھوٹ بولتے ہیں

تحریک طالبان پاکستان کی حمایت
عمران کا کہنا یہ ہے کہ قبائلی عوام بھی پاکستانی ہیں۔ کیا انھوں نے نائن الیون سے پہلے کوئی دہشت گردی کی کارروائی کی تھی؟
اس وقت پاکستان میں دو طرح کے لوگ ہیں ایک وہ جو کہتے ہیں کہ قبائلی دہشت گرد ہیں اس لیے ان پر فوجی آپریشن بالکل جائز ہے جب کہ دوسرا گروہ کہتا ہے کہ چوں کہ امریکی فوج کے زیر اثر پاکستانی فوج قبائلی علاقوں پر حملے کر رہی ہے اس لیے قبائلی در عمل کے طور پر خود کش حملے کر رہی ہے لہٰذا فوجی آپریشن بند کرکے قبائلی لوگوں سے مذاکرات کرو۔ اس معاملے میں عمران خان اپنی بات دلیل سے کرتا ہے،اور اس کی دلیل میں وزن بھی ہے۔

تحریک انصاف آئی ایس آئی کی پیداوار
عمران کو سیاست میں گھسیٹنے پر مجبور کرنے والے کوئی اور نہیں بلکہ نواز شریف اور بے نظیر ہیں۔ جب عمران نے شوکت خانم ہسپتال کا کرنا تھا، تو نواز شریف بطور وزیر اعلیٰ اور بے نظیر بطور وزیر آعظم اس ہسپتال کا افتتاح کرنا چاہتے تھے لیکن عمران نے ان کی بجائے کینسر کی ایک مریضہ بچی سے افتتاح کروایا جس پر یہ دونوں حضرات عمران کے دشمن بن گئے اور عمران کے راستے میں مشکلات کھڑی کرنی شروع کیں۔ اور عمران کو اتنا مجبور کیا، کہ وہ سیاست میں آہی گیا۔
ہمارے ہاں ساری سیاسی جماعتیں آئی ایس آئی اور فوج ہی کی مدد سے بنی ہیں۔پیپلز پارٹی اور مسلم لیگ فوج ہی کی بنائی جماعتیں ہیں۔اگر تحریک انصاف بھی کسی فوجی کے مشورے سے بنی تو کیا قیامت آگئی ۔

ایم کیو ایم کی مخالفت
عمران خان نے ایم کیو ایم کی مخالفت ایک اصول کی بنیاد پر کی تھی، جو بارہ مئی کے واقعات سے متعلق تھیں۔اس پر اگر عمران پر سندھ میں داخل ہونے پر پابندی لگی۔ اور عمران کو گالیاں دی گئیں تو کیا یہ بھی عمران کا قصور ہے؟

شخصی تضاد
لوٹے کی تعریف یہ ہے کہ کوئی اسمبلی ممبر اسمبلی کا ممبر ہوتے ہوئے اپنی پارٹی چھوڑ کر کسی دوسری پارٹی میں چلا جائے یا اپنی پارٹی لائی کے خلاف چلے۔ اگر کوئی شخص اسمبلی ممبر ہوتے ہوئے اپنی پارٹی سے اتفاق نہیں کرتا تو اسے چاہیے کہ وہ اسمبلی اور پارٹی رکنیت سے استعفیٰ دے اور دوسری پارٹی میں شمولیت اختیار کرے۔ جیسا کہ ڈاکٹر فردوس عاشق نے کیا تھا۔اس لحاظ سے میاں اظہر لوٹا نہیں ہے۔دوسرا یہ کہ اس پر کبھی کرپشن کا الزام نہیں لگا اور گورنر ہوتے ہوئے بھی اس نے درویشی اختیار کر رکھی تھی۔ٰؒ

مصنوعی رقابت؛
نیب کے مطابق کرپشن کی تعریف یہ ہے کہ کوئی شخص اپنے وسائل سے زیادہ بہتر زندگی گزارتے ہو یا گزارتے ہوئے دکھائی دیتا ہو۔ جو وسائل ہمارے سیاست دان بتاتے ہیں اس سے زیادہ پر تعیش اور آرام دہ زندگی گزارتے ہیں جو کھلم کھلا کرپشن کی دلیل ہے۔ اگر کسی کی کرپشن عدالت میں ثابت نہ ہو تو اس کا یہ مطلب نہیں کہ وہ کرپشن نہیں کرتا۔کرپشن کرنا اور کرپشن ثابت ہونا دو الگ الگ معاملات ہیں۔
اسی طرح کسی بھی مصدقہ ذرائع سے یہ معلوم نہیں ہوسکا کہ عمران نے مشرف، مسلم لیگ کیو یا ایم کیو ایم سے خفیہ رابطہ کیا ہو۔

عمران کی ٹیم
اگر عمران نئے لوگوں کو متعارف کراتا ہے تو لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ اس کی ٹیم نہیں ہے اور اگر تجربہ کار لوگون کو شامل کرتا ہے (مثلاً میاں اظہر) تو لوگ کہتے ہیں یہ لوٹے اور چلے ہوئے کارتوس ہیں۔ گویا اس معاملے پر اعتراض برائے اعتراض مقصود ہے

شوکت خانم کی زمین
یہ زمین وزیر اعلیٰ پنجاب نے عطیہ کی تھی۔ کسی کی ذاتی جیب سے خیرات نہیں کی گئی تھی اور یہ زمیں عوامی مفاد کے اصول کے تحت دی گئی تھی۔عمران نے اپنے رہنے کے لیے جو گھر بنایا ہے یہ وہ رقم ہے جو اس نے لندن میں اپنا فلیٹ بیچ کر حاصل کی تھی، یہ رقم اس نے بینک کے ذریعے قانونی طور پر پاکستان بھیجی۔

محض اس خیال سے کہ کسی اور کو ووٹ دینے کا مطلب زرداری کو جتوانا ہے ،ایک بے بنیاد بات ہے،پاکستان کے لوگ نواز شریف اور زرداری ، دونوں کو آزما چکے ہیں، اور دونوں ناکام رہے ہیں اور لیے کسی تیسری طاقت کو اب اقتدار میں آنا چاہیے۔ اور اس وقت یہ تیسری طاقت تحریک انصاف ہی ہے
