1. Singapore City, Singapore
The city rates high because of its infrastructure facilities and perfectly designed neighbourhoods. Not to forget, it has great clean public spaces too.
2. Chandigarh, India
Certainly one of the best cities in India, it is neatly planned and divided into sectors which are nicely connected to one another. Adding to that, every sector has a park and a shopping street with plantations surrounding them.
3. Zurich, Switzerland
Zurich's public transport is managed extremely well. It is one of the few cities that connects the main city with the countryside. Additionally, their punctuality adds to the flexible movement of their trains.
4. Seoul, South Korea
Seoul is well laid in terms of public transport. The metro is well connected and works in coordination with the buses. The city has separate demarcations for residential, commercial and entertainment areas. Additionally, the roads have separate cycling tracks which makes traffic management easier.
5. Copenhagen, Denmark
The city has carried out the bicycle culture for ages now, and has set an example of a green city, urban living and commuting.
6. Washington D.C., USA
The capital of the USA was chosen because of its central location. The roads are designed according to a grid system with diagonal avenues that are named after various states. Interestingly, all the main attractions like monuments and the Capitol Hill are located in the heart of the city. The city is quite friendly for outsiders as well.

The city offers a combination of historic and modern architecture. They have an efficient system of housing blocks spread across in consistency giving the city a not so cramped up feel. Their canal system also adds to their meticulous city planning.

Previously, Rio De Janerio was the capital of Brazil. Brasilia was chosen because of its central location. This city is mapped out in the shape of a huge bird with specific zones assigned for different purposes such as residential, banking, hospitals and business.

Today, Paris is one of the most talked about tourist destinations and the city of romance. However, in the past it was a really shabby city full of slums. In 1853, the city was redesigned by Baron Haussman who created wide boulevards throughout the city with squares at the intersections. New railroads and gorgeous buildings were constructed to make it a world class city. Today, it is certainly one.
