ISLAMABAD: Justice Faisal Arab, the head judge of the three-judge special bench, has excused him to hear the treason case against former military ruler Pervez Musharraf, ARY News reported on Thursday.
The special court was hearing treason charges against Musharraf for proclamation of emergency in November 2007.
Justice Faisal Arab, the head judge of the bench, excused him to be a member of the court after objectionable remarks by the counsels of former military ruler against the learned judge.

Following submission of the apology, Rana Ijaz, the counsel of Musharraf, was granted entry in the court.
The court yesterday reserved its decision on the appointment of prosecutor Akram Sheikh in the high treason case against former military ruler Pervez Musharraf. The former president’s legal team alleged that Sheikh is biased, the lawyer fought back, accusing the defence of publicly vilifying him and threatening him.
