As a nation, we have to accept that corruption runs in our blood. After 62 years, if Pakistan is down the slope then nobody else is to blame except ourselves. It is needless to put blame on politicians as the whole lot is tried and tested over and over again. We are not ready to forgive Kamran Akmal for a single match but we are happy to play in hands of our so called political leaders again and again. Problem and solution is within ourselves. We are all short sighted and look for leaders who can give us small favours in return when elected. Everyone has attitude of doing things wrong way. There are always two ways of doing a thing, right or wrong, and unfortunately most of us prefer the wrong way. We are not able to see things beyond our personal interests. We do not think that getting a job done with the help of our elected representitive will effect the whole system of merit and justice. We will be happy to get our favour done at the cost of destruction to our country. Simply, it is us who do not want to see change in the system. What we do not consider is that if every thing is in place, we don't need to adopt illegal ways. We have to look for qualities in a leader who has prudence and credibility. Many people think that Imran Khan is not a good politician. They may well be true but if he does what he says than he is more than good enough. He has courage to say what is right and what is wrong. He knows how to lead from front and he believes in justice. Today Pakistan needs another leader of Jinnah's stature and Imran shares quiet a few qualities of him. Most importantly, he does not want to leave the right path at any cost. A leader like him is the only hope we got left. PPP and ML are two big political power houses in the country but the question is, have they delivered? Has their leadership posess the qualities needed? And the most important question is, have they any stakes in Pakistan? Ask yourselves these questions then vote for change. If we want our country a better place for ourselves and our generations to come, then we have to start thinking differently. We have to look beyond our personal interests. Change would not come without sacrifices and biggest sacrifice is self interest. It will be of no use to cry on corruption of our leaders if we do the same sin in our personal lives. Are we ready to change ourselves?
