Ive failed to deduce any viable and cohesive set of conclusions from the suggestions discussed in the epilogue of this futile chit chat show which end in a similar inconclusive manner as the previous programmes of this genre used to end in the recent past at the backdrop of every pathetic and misreable conduct & performance of this legion of white elephants commonly known as PCB with its constituent administrative and playing units . First of all there was not even a single representative of the main decision making unit of Pakistan cricket board along with its incompetent chairman and any member of current cricket team and secondly the quality of audio-visual of this programme of Geo TV network was nothing but clear to pathetic and marred by disjointed and useless jibber jabber from those irrelevant persons who have little or not say at all in the current cricketing affairs of Pakistan. They should have stuck to take the inputs of the relevant panel of experts only and try to grill them on the disastrous performance of Pakistan cricket team.
The high point of this debate was the exchange of arguments between the two cricketing stalwarts of Pakistan cricket Imran & Aamir and I enjoyed both of their views as well. I think when Imran bhai advocate about the regional cricket of Pakistan and try to relate that system with highly advanced nations like England & Australia then he tends to forget the ground based realities of Pakistan and other advanced nations. Here in Pakistan the administrative local town and city councils are not that effective and administratively & financially independent to implement the developmental and structural reform of their own territories forget about administering the extra burden of cricket and to foster them. In places like England and Australia their public and local body councils are self sufficient and well organised backed by the strong central cohesive federal systems of their respective governments. In Pakistan the autonomy of such local councils is still a dream to achieve for the advocates of such system and therefore until & unless Pakistans public administrative units on the regional level become semi or full autonomous with the good chunks of finances the development of cricketing teams at that levels is not practically feasible in Pakistan no matter how much brilliant and attractive it might look in theory.
I have repeated on many occasions that the crux of every problem of Pakistan is related with its leadership and unless the good and scrupulous leadership is involved in the helm of affairs of the PCB no matter if they are elective or selective Pakistan cricket will remain in this critical situation or maybe steep further downwards in terms of its performance in the coming years. A strong, visionary, assertive, disciplined and highly educated team of administrators and management is the short term solution of Pakistan cricket team and its cricketing structure. All other technical and structural changes will take place eventually when the good leadership is involved in the policy making of any organisation or a country. I think a strong panel of consultants should involve in churning out the substantive solutions for the Pakistan cricket and Imran should be involved in that consultancy panel which can advice the management of the board to formalise and then eventually execute those policies to the best of their abilities. Solid practical measures are needed drastically in this matter the time of useless talking and debate is over to fix the long standing issues of this revered game of Pakistan.
