Transportation is a necessity to move from one place to another. Nowadays, public transport is not a relief anymore but still people are availing it just for the sake of time being. Lahore is the city of hospitable people and if we say that they have a better system of transport rather than the metropolitan city Karachi.

Now, recently a local car company has manufactured rickshaws that only need their battery to be electrically charged. One of the drivers said the rickshaw runs for 150-200 kilometers allowing them to earn up to Rs 800-900 per day..

The presence of rickshaws that run on electricity will also save the city lots of pollution and will also save the costs of petrol or gas. Which is a beneficial and environmentally friendly option. There is no official word about when the rickshaw will be available in Karachi,

as of now, it is priced at Rs 2.9 lakh. However, we expect that when travelers start adapting to the electric rickshaws, the amount they pay for fares can go down to a considerable amount.

No dependency on CNG and patrol is the prime quality of these electric rickshaws and loaders, the rest of the features are:

Comfortable driver and passenger seats

Windscreen electric wiper

Luggage compartment

Hand brake

Radio & Mp3 player

Spare parts availability

Crystal light

Do we have electricity?

If they can make easily replaceable battery set than one set can be left at home charging all day with some solar charging panels.

Less moving parts so less maintenance.

Americans tried electric vehicles of this kind 20 to 30 years ago but big oil and auto companies always killed them. I think Pakistan government is busy saving their *** from panama and some one took advantage of their lack of attention.

electric is the future

yes, France will be banning the sale of petrol and diesel cars by 2040 - Volvo is going all electric now - unfortunately, in Canada we are still arguing over Carbon tax and the need to build more pipelines

That Amazing Pakistan enters into the list of those countries who introduced electronic rickshaws to save fuel expenses. As France is going end petrol and diesel vehicles in 2040. This step will reduce the poverty and unemployment in society. Many NGOs in Pakistan provides financial assistance to underprivileged to enable them to start their own business.
