Fazlur Rehman not letting PTI negotiate with Taliban: Pervez Khattak

PESHAWAR: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak alleged on Monday that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Fazlur Rehman was trying to spread misconceptions about Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.


Talking to the press in Nowshera, Khattak said, “Imran Khan is working hard to restore peace in the region and to end foreign influence.”
Khattak said that by calling Imran a Jewish agent, Fazalur Rehman was trying to instigate the Taliban against PTI so that it will make peace talks between them difficult.
“Fazlur Rehman wants turmoil and militancy to prevail in the region,” said Khattak, adding that it was up to the nation to decide who is the Jewish agent.
Khattak said that JUI-F chief had become a political figure instead of being a religious one and asserted that PTI will never let him come in power in K-P.
He further said that Awami National Party (ANP) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) were also trying to instigate hatred against PTI.

He is only a politically person who will do anything to join the parliament. He is willing to make Punjabi deobandi fight pashton deobandi. If you notice his speech's he only represent pashton deobandi, he can not unite one sect so how will he lead a hole country. He is son of a traitor, he is just following his father.

TTP khawarjis will ask for peace when there boss Americans want, not when any Pakistani political party wants. If/when Americans leaves Afghanistan, TTP khawarjis will ask for peace the next day. Solution is to punish all khawarjis who are in jail. That can only happen when CJ is removed and traitor Hamid Mir is put behind jail so he can not spread disinformation against the state of Pakistan.

JUI-F out to spoil peace initiative with Taliban: Khattak



NOWSHERA: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has said that Maulana Fazlur Rahman has resorted to propaganda against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan to spoil the peace initiative with the Taliban.

Talking to reporters here on Monday, he said the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader’s aim was to create doubts in the minds of the Taliban as he wanted to maintain the status quo so that militancy continued in the region.

He pointed out that the nation must decide who the real “agent” was as elements in the JUI-F did not like the PTI peace overtures to the Taliban. He said the PTI stance to employ peaceful means to bring an end to militancy in the region was not liked by leaders like Maulana Fazlur Rahman.

The chief minister argued that the JUI-F chief had turned to a blame-game to promote confrontational politics and promote his vested interests. “That is the reason that he has been dubbing Imran Khan an agent of the Jews,” added.

He said Maulana Fazlur Rahman had lost the sense to respect his fellow politicians as he was addicted to be part of ruling alliances. “After losing the May 11 election, his desire of hijacking the public mandate in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has miserably failed,” he stressed.

The chief minister described the PTI as one of the country’s biggest political parties that was given a mandate by the public to usher in a change by bringing an end to corruption and loot and plunder of the public exchequer.

He said the PTI was establishing an independent accountability commission in the province within a week to initiate a decisive action against the corrupt. To a query, he said the PTI would remain successful in the by-election in the province as the party had been focusing on the real issues to mitigate the hardships of the people.

Pervez Khattak said the PTI would be implementing public-friendly policies soon after Eidul Fitr as professional teams had been constituted to help the government bring reforms in education and health sectors. He said the PTI would implement its manifesto in letter and spirit in the larger interest of the public.

No enmity with the Taliban, says PTI CM-designate

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) senior leader and soon-to-be Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pervez Khattak on Friday said that the coming provincial government was ready to hold talks with the outlawed Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants.
We have no enmity with the Taliban, said the PTI central Secretary General. He said the Taliban were also Pakistanis and that they request the militant group to hold peace talks and work for peace in the region.
"We appeal to Taliban that we are not at war with you, this province is yours and we are hopeful you will work for its peace.
"We are not against anyone and not here to fight anyone, we want peace and development in our province and we want to talk to them, " he said.
Pervaiz Khattak also said that they should be given a chance to settle the problem.
"Our request to them is that we want peace in the province and that they should extend to us their help," Khattak said.

PESHAWAR - Pervez Khattak, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) chief minister-designate for Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP) said “we are ready to give terrorists the respect they want”.
“We don’t talk of Talibanisation. We say terrorism exists in the province. It is not known to us who is behind this terrorism. We request all those behind terrorism to work for peace in the province. Whatever respect they want, we are ready to give them. We are ready to reintegrate them into society,” said Khattak, in an exclusive interview with BBC on Saturday.
He went on to say that he wanted peace to prevail in the province and for Pakistan to make progress. “We will work together with Nawaz Sharif in the federation to eliminate terrorism from the country,” he added.
Responding to a question he said, “We have come here with an agenda to establish peace through dialogue. We are ready to talk to all political forces and concerned people from tribal areas through jirga or any other means”.
About his newly elected team he said, “Youths have stood up for bringing about a change. The experienced ones gave no development to the province resulting in devastation and corruption. These youths will bring a change”.
Hinting at new challenges, he said there were several issues that faced them. “Education stands destroyed. Hospitals stand destroyed. We have a bureaucracy like an unbridled horse. There is rampant corruption. Nothing seems fine. It will be my endeavor that a role model government comes in the province,” he stated.
