Dear, there is always a point to which one can reason with others, I can agree to disagree that Islam does not discriminate against anyone. your statement is confusing these summations of references is neither done by you nor anyone else, well who compiled them?? where you took them from? furthermore, I am really astonished to read your second sentence "I wouldn't advise...to understand" I strongly disagree however if this is what keeps you away from reading, I wouldn't force you (i am sorry my articulation was citing the addressee as Muslim). I agree with your last sentence, however, one would start with the Quran as its the source (people disagree about Tafsir authors and other authors, which against comes to which Sect one belong to). Quran is clear enough for one to read and understand the essence of Islam for detailed procedures people look at Hadith. even Quran translation can vary from author to author, choice of words. learn Arabic if someone is really interested to know the real meanings.
